Ice and a Stradivarius on stage
Russia: Believe premieres in Prague
Diman Bilan, chose Prague to present his 2008 Eurovision entry for the first time in public after winning the Russian national final. During the Ice Show by Evgeny Pluschenko, Dima performed three songs, Never let you go, Nevozmozhnoye Vozmozhno (the Russian version of Lady Flame) and Believe which was enthusiasticly received by the audience.
"Ice will be on the Eurovision for the first time, as well as Stradivarius's violin. I will be for the second time. And I hope this time we will smile" said Dima after the show going on to reveal that there will be five more people accompanying him on the Belgrade Arena stage. Apart from Olympic figure skater Evgeny Pluschenko and Hungarian vilolinist Edvin Marton, there will be two backing singers and one dancer. The three performers, each in his own way, will attempt to tell the European audience how to be strong and never stop going after their dreams.
A fighter by nature, Evgeny Plushenko, says: "This song is also about me, Dima and Edvin. Of course, we had much success and a lot of victories, but we have also faced defeat many times. That is why you should never lose heart! When I represent Russia, I want to climb the pedestal only on the first place and listen to the anthem of my country".

Also, I can not represent the opinion of the whole country. we have different opinions in Azerbaijan and we dont shoot those who think differently in our parliament and on public squares like you

Time to face the truth - ESC as a "contest" is redundant. OK, it's a big show, spectacle etc but no longer a contest. The voting issues have stopped that idea.

No...Russians are people with no proud... and your word about russians are insulting for me. Egypt? yeah, I have been twice in Egypt, great underwater world, isn't it? I was in Canarias three weeks ago and saw a lot of people. Please, in future be carefull with the words, because, you know, sometimes you can insult people by words, and my best recarding wish to you, don't ever say bad about nation! Corruption? No...there was no corruption, Bilan is the owner of 10 MTV's awards in Russia during years...see..in 3 YEARS-10 awards! In Russia it's reaally very great, and Dima is considered THE BEST in the Russian pop-scene! TV watchers gave him, and me in this number, maximum points, and experts too-27-maximum, so he is absolutely winner! and there is no corruption.

Maybe Bilan won Russian contest with dirty tricks but his song has modern sound and top-class arrangement that makes Believe world-wide tune. It will bring him to the top 5 or even top 3, but he never get the prize

An intelligent person must not say "Dima accent/english is horrible" In this case you are not intelligent, so it doesn't matter how much time you can spend to post your worthless comment. I am sure Dima can do thousand times better than you, he won esc and finished 2nd in 2006 which millions of people all over Europe watched that night, see if you can do something to bring yourself up to that level, no chance, your ingnorance doesn't allowe you to progress.

Sweety's, I am Luxemburgish, speak and write 5 languages fluently. And I think, if you want to bring a message accross in another language, make sure you do it well. And in Dima's case, it's absolutely horrible. On top of that the song is not very good either. And nobody will tell me here what I can or can't say. This is a forum, so everyone is entitled to his/her opinion. But Russians think they are a bit more than the rest of us. I went on a trip last year to Egypt, 90 % of the tourism is Russian, my God, that's an experience.

speaking about your languages YA gavaryu nemnoga pa ruskiy (ok hard to write with out the cyrillic alphabet) my god father is russian.. i can read serbian, macedonian, bulgarian and russian cyrillic... i can speak french, macedonian, bit of german, italian, serbian, croatian, and a lil russian and greek. my criticism of dima's english should not be taken as a criticism of russia geez, i honestly believe he could win hands down in russian

I agree with you! They can't even spell our cities and countries, not all of them, but most of, but they blame Dima for a bit of accent, did they thik about he was born in Russia,but not in USA or GB, and it's normal that he speks with accent! People, you should be happy that participants sing in English, but it would be more comfortable for them to sing in their own languages! You don't even try to speak any other languages, you don't know russian, serbian,spanish and etc. And it's doubtthat you can sing in Russian, Serbian,Bulgarian,Spanish...Di dn't you think about it, did you, people?!

You appreciate the fact that english isnt my first language? Excuse me but your posts are full of errors. Why don't you respect Dima's accent while his english is better than yours, so is mine. At least we can do better than you even though english is not our first language.
Let me tell you what your english level is, its junior school standard, because you always chatt like a little kids and example is given below
You: Criticised Dima english/accent while it is ESC and normal to have accent which shows colour of ESC
Little children: They say to eachother "My mother is better than yours" My father speak better english than yours"
As you can see I have compared your reaction with little children and I found similarity, hehee lol

Who are you kidding! We never use wit for with, you make mistake in your english, I prefer Dima's english thousan times over yours, because Dima is professional.
I would like to hear all of you who blame Dima for his accent speaking some Russian language or Serbian.
