Junior Eurovision 2008: Poland returns to JESC?
Poland is one of the 16 original participants in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, having debuted in 2003, but withdrew in 2004 after 2 last places out of 2 attempts.
It is as yet unclear as to whether TVP has officially submitted their participation bid to the EBU, but with Sweden withdrawing from the competition, it seems likely that they will be accepted.
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2008 will take place later this year in Limassol, Cyprus.

Nice to see Poland back!
@ Finn:
joni Fuller...?
oh yeah that's right, the weird one.
@Sandra:
I agree, you (as in Sweden) had two great entries two years in a row, they both deserved to be much higher. But I guess its painfully obvious why entries win the Jesc. Its all in the running order, if youre last youre almost guaranteed a win. Especially if you happen to be Belarus or Russia.
ps. but i do think, there are still sometimes entries in the Jesc that really make your mouth fall open... Does anyone remember Joni fuller (Uk 2003)? Im still listening to that! And I thought the spanish winner and that spanish flamenco song (te traigo flores...?) were actually good songs too. And the Georgian one last year was good too, or that could still be my admiration for Sopho talking.
But if poland is gonna be last again, i wouldnt enter. You always feel sorry for these kids who are talented but are left with only a few points.
Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am happy to hear again some Polish on my TV.
JESC is pointless. It's just Eurovision but dumbed down and from what I've seen, totally owned by Belarus.
Poland, please save your dignity and don't enter JESC!!!
Just rename it the East song contest.... it wud be much more accurate.......
Why do they even wanna come back??
Polond will return. Look on Wikipedia. There is a source to prove it!
It's good to have Poland back...
Russian-Belorussia-Ukrainan party... I hope that polish song will be good and we wont have the last place like in 2003 and in 2004.
I somehow agree with Sandra. Belarus was terrible this year.
The Netherlands were the best.
Vocaly, and the song was amazing!
STOP THIS CRAP!!!!
The best song never wins only the cuties entry!
Then, the two last years Sweden has two great entries! We deserved a win especially 2006 with Molly Sandén but without neighbours will should never win JESC!
TV 4 made a great decision!!!!!!!!! No Sweden in JESC!!! JIPPIEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!
i remember after jesc 2004, EBU was like
20 is the limit,
what if more than 20 want to join LOL
and then everyone realised it was awful
I really hope there will be 16 countries, even if 18 is the limit
(I like the this number more
).
Next year, at least 24 countries!
Oh god . . . . . there have been alot of stories about JESC recently, you know what that means . . . . . . . . . . JESC SEASON IS STARTING!!!!!! OH THE PAIN!!!
Good luck to every country in this years JESC!!!
