Iceland: Euroband release Eurovision winner
The duo of Fridrik Omar and Regina Osk performed a medley of Eurovision Song Contest songs as well as their version of the Israeli winning song to huge applause from the 1200 strong crowd in London before performing their 2008 entry, This is my life. I love this song. This is my new favourite eurovision song sorry Gina G. To those people that call it old fashioned what r u on, If this is so old fashioned that would make the Ukraine song old fashioned 2 since they r the same musical style. I like the Ukraine song also but to say that it is better is just flamin stupid. If Iceland get robbed again this year i'll just have 2 go back 2 my Australian Idol LOL.

Good singers both of them, but the song is very oldfashioned, mainstream. Don't think they will pass the semi.. With Sweden, Iceland, Turkey, Ukraine all in the beginning, it will be very unlikely that all of these go through.
IT IS JUST GOOD.NEITHER AMAZING OR FANTASTIC.
I CAN'T UNDESTAND WHAT YOU FIND FANTASTIC AT THIS SONG.THERE ARE OTHER SONGS MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN THIS LIKE UKRAINE,ARMENIA,SWEDEN,GREECE, BULGARIA,SERBIA,RUSSIA,SLOVENI A ETC.

I believe they are going to release an album in may that has many more esc cover songs AND Þér við hlið in English.
But as an Icelander I'm not very optimistic, the 2nd semi-final is so strong that it would be difficult for anybody to get out of it, and with Iceland's history of not making it up I think we don't have enough goodwill out there.

NOT BECAUSE THE SONG IS NOT GOOD BUT BECAUSE OF THE WAY THE PEOPLE VOTE.I REALLY WANT ICELAND TO WIN BECAUSE I ALWAYS WANTED TO FIND A REASON TO GO TO ICELAND AND THIS IS GOING TO BE A GOOD REASON.

The best song still is "Þér við hlið", Regina's amazing entry from the Icelandic preselection in 2006. I hope there will be an English version of that song some time.
I dont believe Iceland or Sweden will qualify having got bad running order places and with Ukraine 2 places after Sweden I think Ukraine will shadow over Swedens peformance!

Rekjavik 2009 would be a dream come true for so many Eurovision fans, but i still don't see this going down well with the voting public.
