Spain: Three more dancers for Rodolfo chosen

Last evening the Spanish public broadcaster TVE aired on its first channel a special show to choose three female dancers to join Rodolfo Chikilicuatre, Disco and Gráfica in Belgrade on May 24th. The programme was not blessed with high viewing numbers, and was the 5th most watched option in yesterday's prime time.

The special show last evening was presented by Santiago Segura, popular Spanish actor and showman who is responsible for the lyrics of Baila el chiki chiki, this year's Spanish entry. The programme featured several music performances - amongst them, one of the 2008 eurostars, Ukraine's Ani Lorak who performed Shady lady - and the six finalists of the dance contest to accompany Rodolfo Chikilicuatre in Belgrade. The three lucky winners are Leticia Martín, María Ángeles Mas y Cecilia López, all selected by Spanish choreographer Mayte Marcos.

However, TVE did not manage to attract the audience. Dansin chiki chiki could only gather 2 million viewers (10.9% share), widely behind football match Manchester United vs FC Barcelona on Antena 3 TV (7.8 million; 45.3% share), music programme Operación Triunfo on Telecinco (3.6 million; 22.6% share), tv series House on Cuatro (3 million; 15.8% share) and movie Bad Boys - Dos policías rebeldes on Antena 3 TV (2.2 million; 16.3% share). Therefore, Dansin chiki chiki became the 5th most watched option on yesterday's prime time in Spain.

Below you can watch the final choreography of Baila el chiki chiki:

...although i hate them with all my soul, i must admit that Disco and Grafica did a great performance.
They were soooooo tacky and common that they were good. The fight on stage was good. More of that please!
Now, Rodolfo has always been awful, but he is FADING AWAY and getting worse by the day.

@ Natalia,
STOP saying that it was chosen democratically by Spaniards
E'body knows it's been the FIASCO of the year in Spanish media.
The director of TVE=El Terrat=Channel 6=Chiki Chiki=ESC.
Did you see the credits at the End (C) TVE-El Terrat.
It sucks but...

This song will certainly get better results for Spain than in the previous years. Which on the other hand is not that difficult :-p

It's nothing but a commercial trick, intending to some extra cash for its creators.
Mr Buenafuente, the man behind all this "joke", has many times commented ESC very negatively in his channel. Now he wants to mock Eurovision proving that even the absolute "nothing" can make success in this contest.
So, I can't really understand how is possible for some so called "euro-fans" to support all this attempt.

Milan S. [19572]

I don't know how many points he will get (probably not many), but that he will be booed - that I know for sure!

What i cant believe that the "lyrics" were actually written by someone (mr Santiago Segura). i thought they were just randomly picked rubbish.

I can't belive that somepeople really think that Spain will win this year! Rodolfo and Estonia has he worst songs this year!

Pablo Hernández [17229]
Wed 30 Apr 2008 17:32:12

Yesterday he laughed at Ani Lorak.
Some weeks ago he said "Fuck off, Eastern countries".
He called the show "Freakvision".
Buenafuente told they want to mock at Eurovision.

He is just an offence to the Eurovision Song Contest. That's why we don't deserve a single points.

Please, Europe, don't vote for Spain!
