Malta's song is a bit irresponsible though - encourages the young ones to drink excessively. It ain't good for society or the graffiti-free walls in my area
i really hope that this is malta's year....i mean it's true that the song is noisy, but it's also fun, not boring, good singer and interesting + original....song about spies =D
I liked the clip. Promisses lots of excitement.
There is one confusing moment. When presenting Azerbaijan, the commentator speaks about the origin of the word Azerbaijan. It says something related to "fire", etc, and then it says also that the Viking tribe Aesir originates from Azerbaijan. It's a nice joke, pure fantasy! Why not after all! But viewers throughout Europe will think that this bullshit is true though! Azerbaijan comes from the greek word "Atropatene" and arabs later have deformed it into azerbaijan. Well, whatever! Welcome to Azerbaijan! And good luck in ESC!
i do not see sweden as a winner....it is the usual abba song!!!nothing new and nothing special!!
russia another ballod?
I'm maltese and it is the very first time that i'm really hoping for my country!!if malta will not win this year it will never host the contest.
@Dave Goodman:
They haven't announced it yet. Hopefully it will be a random draw at which position the qualifiers will take in the final so that the ten qualifiers from semi final 1 doesn't necessarily take up the first ten open slots in the final. That would have given the second semi finalists a greater advantage.
Look at the video of Pirates of the Sea!Latvia!there are also parts of their promo tour in Sweden!

I'd love to see Malta win - not least because I have a 150 to 1 bet on them now. Their song really struck me on first listen last night and that's what I thought when I heard Latvia and Estonia in 2002 and 2001 and they went on to win too!
I really hope Morena's performance is better in Belgrade than on the national final - she needs a really big show with pyrotechnics and loads of energy!
Does anyone know how the running order for the final is decided??
Indeed MALTA could be heading for their victory...its about TIME that EUROPE gives a chance to such nation to show that its got ESC HEART in the centre of the MEDITERRANEAN.
Indeed its a catchy song in which ppl tend to remember actually its title VODKA...it will be an extra credit if the performance will be on the same genre of the video...
@dave goodman
i think malta could win..it s better than bosnia herzegovina..or charlotte perrelli or dima bilan(never)..andorra is good as well..so you are not alone
@Dave Goodman: I voted today at our OGAE meeting and did not give a single point to Malta. It´s not bad, it´s catchy, somehow it will have to fight for itself. Good luck, anyway.
Night Elf
You said that you HATE it. I'm just pissed off because the atmosphere on this site, with everyones tolerance on the zero level. Everybody "HATES something". It is OK if you say you don't like it, but I think one has to be careful with the words he is using...
Cheers
A little off topic I know but I heard all 43 songs for the first time last night...am I the only one who thinks Malta could be heading for their first win???? It stood out a mile in a year of very poor entries. I love Sweden but can't see such a traditional schlager song winning again and none of the other songs - soem of which are ok - grabbed me at all. Malta don't seem to be getting any coverage or points from the OGAE juries. Just wondered if I was alone.
I do think Serbian TV had a lot of help in the production as almost everybody who is appearing/speaking in the clip are from Swedish TV. Even the designer-experts were two Swedes. This is in no way ment to take credit from the wonderful job Serbia is doing hosting the show! I bet the show will be a big hit!

How primitive my comment is because I said I don't like her English... OMG do you know what you just said...
lol
Everyone has right for his own opinion, and I think with Jovan beside her Nina's accent sounds worse than it is. I don't like it, that doesn't make my comment primitive for God sake !! chill
Peace
I'm surprised that the show was so professional. I mean, I watch a lot of Serbian TV and have never seen something this professional and witty. The song at the end was the perfect touch. My only recommendation is that NIna and Jovan pronounce Serbian names properly. There is no need to dumb it down for everyone else.
That means one week left !!!
great schedule. omg, it's on the next week almost. Time goes by so fast
Night Elf
Did you understood everything she said? If the answer is "yes" then who cares about her accent??? Sure it's not a reason to "hate" her english...
Oh, I can't believe how primitive your comment is...
I liked the whole Eurovision: Countdown show.

Fight to the death! lol
Hope to boicot the Spanish press conference. Spanish entry do not deserve a single minute of attention.
Good luck
United Kingdom!
Andy the under-rated has a chance! No pressure on him!
Does anyone likes Nina's English... I just hate it, better let Jovan do all the talk !!!!
@Jonny K
LOL! I will defeat you next time. LOL
- Matthew Eurovision
