Eurovision 2008: Your guide to Belgrade!
Rastko Colja, a dedicated fan and friend of esctoday.com, has gone to great pains to compile a guide for Belgrade complete with information on transport, telephony, postal services, a guide to Belgrade's landmarks with full historical information and even as short phrase book. Particularly useful we found the directions and information on bus routes to get to the Euroclub and the Arena from all over the city.
You can download Rastko's guide to Belgrade here.
Here you can find an interactive map of Belgrade.
Esctoday.com would like to thank Rastko Colja for his amazing offer to our readers!

Thanks Rastko!!

Yeah, we do have a box, but unfortuanatley our signal has got worse and worse over the years, up until the point where we can't recieve BBC3 anymore!! Its because I live in the south downs, so the signal is very patchy around there

I hope its on the iplayer, RTE are allowed to show a re-run on their website, so I don't think it should be a problem for the BBC. But the best way to do it is to just buy the DVD, then you can watch it wherever, whenever!!!
Thanks Rastko!
It's really nice for you to take time out your busy life to put together a very interesting and informative guide.
Thanks,
Best wishes from everyone here in The United Kingdom.
Hvala vi Rastko
very useful information. I love the translation of "Eurovision"
Good job!
Thanks again Rastko :-)
I said already for the first draft...the guide is great my dear...so much looking forward to meet you in Belgrade
Johnny, we bought a realy cheap box from Argos, like 20 pounds or so and can watch BBC3.... last year they had really cool commends over there, especially that girl. Forgot her name, my in a few days first delegations will arrive in Belgrade and start rehearsing.....
Thanks for this info. Useful
@ Adamus
There is only the TRT International that will broadcast the 2nd semi for me.. there are other channels but i dont have em.. The first semi is full of channels like Armtv, Romanian International, RTR Planeta, ORT... So, get TRT..LOL.. Just my opinion..
Ooops, it was not @ Daniel ... it should be @ Adamus
@ Daniel: If you can get the German TV in Poland, you can watch the 1st Semi live on German NDR via Satellite. The 2nd Semi is broadcasted later (the night from thursday to friday at 0:45 am). You can watch the 2nd Semi live via Satellite on RTP (Portugal).
Hvala a lot for the guide, it is already useful! =)
oh no - in Malta we only have BBC Prime (in 2005 it used to be on BBC Prime)
Hats off to Rastko, what an awesome job. The guide is bursting with useful information. Well done.
@ Benjamin Johnson
It probably will be on the iPlayer cos they put everything on it now, even football, rugby matches and athletics events they have shown.
BBC3? thats not a problem for me!
Btw I like to know if the semis and final be on BBCi Player?
As a constant traveler to Beograd, be aware of the many taxi-drivers at the exit of the terminal. You'll see what I mean. They are not licensed. They should not charge you over 1500 dinar (25 USD) for a ride into the ciy. I would recommend taking the slavija bus (2 Euros) and then cabbing it from inside the city.
Also, you can look for ADA park, it is a large park with beaches. If you feel like a stroll, there is always something going on there.
Thank you very much Rastko! I think your guide is very useful and well made. I will surely use it during my staying in Belgrade!

The BBC will broadcast both semis on BBC3 which is a digital channel, unfortuanatley I can't recieve BBC3, so I just buy the DVD afterwards and watch the semi on that!

Where Can I find a full list of broadcasters?
I'M from POland and my national channel is not interested in brodecasting.... BUT 8 MILION of viewers are!
CAn somedoby help me?
PLEASE
PS: i know its out of topic but is BBC going to broadcast the first semi final? -if yes on which channel? or the TVE? coz i think that MTV isn't going to broadcast the 1st semi final!
