Ishtar, Charlotte Perelli and Hind in Dutch TV Show
Eurovision fever in The Netherlands!
Irene Moors, the female host, confessed that she was a big fan of the Belgian entry O Julissi. On the other hand, Carlo Boszhard - known as a huge Eurovision fan as well - admitted that his favourite song this year was Hero. However, the Dutch audience wasn't impressed by that at all, as they voted Your heart belongs to me to be their favourite entry during a mini songcontest. Charlotte Perelli's Hero became second and O Julissi finished in 3rd position. Special guest on the show was Cornald Maas, the Dutch commentator. Together with the hosts, he commented on several other entries of this year's contest.

I never said I didn't like Schlager at all, I'm just getting tired of it to hear it again and again. Sweden has had great entries in the past and also Charlotte was the rightful winner in 1999. But I'm sorry, this year I'm not a fan. I simply don't like the song I guess and perhaps therefor it's pretty annoying to see Sweden sending in yet another copy once more. They had other entries as well, which didn't score very well, but overall it's always the same they send us.
Just like Italy is still with my favo ESC-countries, Sweden is only there for past glory.
@Muireanne: If Sweden always sends schlager copies to ESC then why Sweden is among your favorite ESC countries?
When I read stupid comments I tend to laugh. I can't help it. I don't have to say nothing in defense, because your silly comments hardly affect me, mate.

The fact "Sweden sends the best quality song this year" is 100% your opinion. Or was it a revelation from God? I doubt it. Your statement is totally subjective and I don't have to agree on it. Your opinions does not worth more than anybody else's.
She might have not changed her voice, but in the chorus of the song she sounds like Carola. Lack of personality? And your 'public view' is just the opinion of a bunch of fans. Don't understimate the public, please.
My comment abour Charlotte being friend was a joke. You know, cooking, fried... got it?

No one is jelous about Sweden! But you and your other profiles keep on about 'Sweden will win' and thus boring every one every time when a artical with Charlotte Perelli is published.

Nobody's jealous here. That story about jealousy applies to teenagers, but we are grown-up people here.
I don't know why Charlotte changed her voice that much. In 1999 she had a deeper voice. Just listen to her song back then (in Swedish or English). Now she sings differently. Even in the chorus of "Hero" she sounds like Carola! Was it necessary?

But hmmm... why didn't Charlotte sing live? Probably to preserve her voice. Take me to your Heaven is an easier song to sing live. =]
I've seen the show and trust me, Charlotte didn't sing live. She didn't even lipsinc that well, although she did sing her winning song of 1999 live. so why not Hero? Hind and Ishtar did perform their songs live and to me therefore made a bigger impression. but you never know. I don't think either of these three will win.
although the only one I don't like is Ishtars. we'll see

You made my day, I agree with you. Sweden is soooooo overrated this year. A copy of another coy, on top of that, very tacky and pure kitsch. Hope she stays in the semi. Love Belgium, nobody seems to pick up on that song (like Sanomi), even during the rehearsalperiod, nobody seem to like it, but than.....
Listened to all three songs very carefully, my personal top 3 of them:
1. Belgium
2. Netherlands
3. Sweden
Why Sweden last? It's just another copy of what they have been sending us for over the past 10 years (if not longer), Charlotte didn't even bother to sing live (the other two did) and even then it sounded worse than I could have imagined. Maybe a 'good' singer, but certainly not an original or wonderful song. I hope Sweden won't pass the semi, but I'm sure they will.
I am sure Sweden will pass. If they deserve to pass is another story, let's wait to see the performance in Belgrade. The song is a bit dated and not very original, but that didn't stop other countries from qualifiyng. But I don't expect Charlotte to stay in the semis.
Can you imagine over here on this forum IF Sweden does not pass the semi ??? Some of them over here will be suicidal.
