Full Spanish Eurovision agenda
Spain: TVE will broadcast only First Semi Final and Final
TVE will be having an extensive coverage on the Eurovision Song Contest from Belgrade, kicking off this weekend when its representative Rodolfo Chikilicuatre will be arriving in the Serbian capital. Special live transmissions will be made with Belgrade updating the Spanish viewers with the latest developments and news bulletins concerning the Spanish 2008 Eurovision representative and entry.
The 1st Eurovision semi final will be broadcast live on TVE 2 at 21:00 CET on Tuesday the 20th of May. A special Eurovision show will be aired the next day Wednesday 21st of May, at 22:00 CET on TVE1, entitled Europasion paying tribute to the Eurovision Song Contest. Raffaella Cara will be hosting the show where the Spanish viewers will get the chance to select their all time favourite Spanish Eurovision melody. Former Eurovision stars such as David Civera, Rosa, Sergio Dalma and Maria Isabel have been invited as special guests to perform some of the former Spanish Eurovision entries. They will be joined by other famous Spanish singers: Alaska, Marta Sanchez and David Bustamante to mention a few.
On Saturday May the 24th TVE1 will air a Pre Eurovision Gala entitled Salvemos Eurovision Con Chikilicuatre ( Lets Save Eurovision With Chilkilcuatre). TVE will broadcast this special gala at 18:00 CET on TVE 1 followed by the live transmission of the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest Final at 21:00 CET on TVE1.

Since TVE Internacional is the only way I can watch Eurovision in Asia, I'm still lucky they're gonna broadcast it. I'm just gonna watch the 2nd semifinal on the internet.
Well this is my first year in Asia, and I'd never thought I'd be able to watch any of the Eurovision shows on TV ( let alone live!) so I guess I'm thankful to TVE for all I can get, really. Live or not. I'll be able to keep my head in the sand for the few hours between the live show and any delayed broadcast. It's better than web TV, that's for sure. 
So all in all: Thank you TVE!

TVE international has never broadcasted the semifinal live. It's the same every year, even when there are LOTS OF eurovision fans in America.

How I will see the second semifinal, then, if TVE only will broadcast 2 of the shows?
I've sent a mail to protest to TVE, as some spanish eurofans! If we send a lot of that mails! We can do it anything! Please send it!

I live in Spain and wanted to see my country Iceland perform in the 2nd semifinal and wanted to vote too of course
TVE International did not even broadcast the semifinal live in 2007. It was aired a few hours later, when we all know the results already. The same happened this year with their crappy national final.

Well, theres a "we don't like the BBC" club on esctoday, and it looks as if theres a club for TVE now aswell!!!!

I wish (very deep inside of me, lol) this year to be the last one that Spain takes part in ESC (at least with TVE). I don't see the point to keep on participating in a contest you don't care about, and you know you're not gonna win easily AND you're spending a lot of money on it!!!
SO, if TVE's people think theirselves smart, the smartest decision you can make is to withdraw as soon as possible.

Well what I will do is buy the DVD afterwards, because I can't watch the semis because of my bad digital TV reception, and the semis are only shown on digital in the UK! Silly BBC!!!!!!!! 
And if TVE wouldn't get many people watching the second semi, then I can understand them not showing it, because they're only interested in viewer numbers, no euro-fans, which is understandable for a TV broadcaster.
Mind you, it is a shame for international esc-fans who can't see every show, or buy the dvd
When you think that Spanish TV can't do it worse... they keep surprising us. Where will be their limit? How low will they fall? Do you think it's possible to get lower? Thr problem is that I already thought it several times.

In Germany the 2nd SF will be broadcast on NDR at 045 a.m. in the night ... but at least we canwatch it live via satelite on RTP Internacional.l

Eh...I don't see the point in putting all that money into the Contest only to not show all of it. But, if that's the decision that's been made, what can you do?
I don't think this is a question of being fair to those in th second semi-final. If TVE don't think they will get the viewers that is their call although it is unfortunate for Spanish fans
I think there should be rule that they MUST broadcast both semis... This is not fair for all those countries that are participating in the 2nd semi final and I can't believe ppl don't see that..
Well I put my trust in TVE Internacional to broadcast the show 
- otherwise I (and everyone else in the Philippines) will not get to watch them on TV. So fingers crossed for TVE!
