75 Cents impresses Europe!
Croatia: Laci "the biggest star in Belgrade"
Ivan Miladinov, who is responsible for the screening of the song, said everybody was satisfied with the performance. The main star of the Kraljevi Ulice press conference was most definitely 75-year-old rapper Ladislav Demeterffy Laci, aka 75 Cents, the oldest contestant in this year's contest. Laci had an answer to every question, even in German and Russian.
When an Israeli journalist asked him if he had met the youngest contestant, 16-year-old Albania Olta Boka, multilingual Laci replied: "Tel Aviv ist sehr schön Stadt!"
There was also much talk of his 'career' as a seducer! "He's been chasing girls for 61 years!" joked Aleksandar Kostandinov, HRT's Head of Entertainment, in charge of the Croatian delegation in Belgrade. "But we're not going to go into detail about Laci's love life. That would take too long!"
However the story of Laci's life and his rapping are a huge hit in Belgrade. One Norwegian journalist proclaimed him 'the coolest rapperin the world' and he has already been called 'the 'granddad of Eurovision'!
He was asked whether he had any Eurovision memeories, and the old charmer was ready with an answer:
"About forty years ago, on one of my journeys, I met Domenico Modugno. We soon moved to the bar."
He did one of his first interviews in Belgrade for Bjelorussian television, greeting his audience in good Russian, for which his was praised by shocked TV viewers.

Though this is probably not what most eurovision fans like, I think the Croation entry this year will actually do very well. Good song and charming performance. Good luck Croatia!
very interesting,
This is not so bad as i was thinking on the beginning,
Best of luck Croatia,
Macedonia supports you!
The Croatians are crazy for sure to send this stuff on ESC!!!
There is simply nothing in this song!!!
This year they had 2 winners on Dora 2008, a lovely patriotic song from a young singer who is a well known acteress in the former yugoslavian republicks, from a tv soap.
She had 2000 more votes than Kraljevi ulice, in the televolting, so taht gave her 12 points and Kraljevi ulice 10 points, but form the votes of the jury she had all 9, and Kraljevi ulice all 10, and that gave them 12 points form the jury and Antonija (that's her name) got only 10.
And I relly don't know how Kralevi ulice were chosen for winners.
MOR VE ÖTESİ-(CRAZY) TURKEY
Sounght, the owner of my soul
Did I fall fight into the spot?
Resisting the subject of my passion
Angered and shrunken
Sounght, the owner of my soul
Did I fall right into the spot?
Resisting, resisting, resisting...
Raise me
Don’t make me cry
Where is the love
You’re so proud of
Raise me
Don’t make me cry
Don’t waste my time
With fake dreams
Sougt, theowner of my soul
Did I fall right into the spot?
Resisting, the subject of my passion
Angered and shrunken
Soungt, the owner of my soul
Did I fall right into the spot?
Resisting, resisting, resisting...
Raise me
Don’t make me cry
Where is the love
You’re so proud of
Raise me
Don’t deceive me
With fak dereams Half sane, half crazy I am
Sane all around me, crazy, one side of me
Everbady else sane, crazy, only me
Crazy, only me...
Raise me
Don’t make me cry
Where is the love
You’re so proud of
Raise me
Don’t make me cry
Don’t waste my time
With fake dreams
video super....
The song is well performed but sorry, this is not my cup of tea. A dark horse maybe.
crap.
i dont give a shit if he is 75 or 100.
its not a reason to have my attention.
How this is possible to send this terrible thing to the esc?
0 point for me,sorry .
@Max, No, you're not the only one. 75 cents is cool as a personality, but he doesn't do the song any good. It's a very nice song, but his voice just interrupts the feeling.
AMI COVEKA E ZAKON.NAJDOBRIA 75 CENTS ROCKS.COOL OLD MAN
I thought I hated this song- but it is in fact okay. I can see some nations voting for it- but not the high points, maybe a few here and there- but enough to qualify? Probably not.
Good Luck to Croatia.........in 2009! Hope they select a decent song- as they did in 2005.
I don't like Croatia's song this year. Especially 75 cents doesn't evoke some positive feelings towards this song in me...
Perhaps I'm the only one who thinks that this song would be better without him... I LOVED the collaboration with Sandra Bagaric, but I don't like this year's package...
Croatia will do very wel this year. it will be a surprise
- Melina ~
thanks!

"when this dude reaches his 76th birthday, is he gonna be know as 76 cents, does it change every year? Cos if it does, his management could probably get into some sticky issues with branding and trademarks!"
12 points to Croatia if it were a personality contest!
Unfortunately, I seriously dislike the song. I don't think it deserves a final place over some of the other entries.
He's cool
, and for those who are in Belgrade right now, be shure to wisit their party.
There's no way that you will be dissapionted.
Good luck to the Kings and my country. brake a leg!
Great song and performance! Good luck!
I don't agree with some of you.
This song and perfomance are interesting, very interesting!
75 cent is probably the most "interesting person" on this years Eurovision, and I really like that part when he does "DJ JOB" in the end of the song.
Good luck Croatia..
boring song.......
They are adorable, especially Laci, best of luck and kisses fm Turkey
I hate them.
I like Croatia's song more and more, it's really special and the lyrics are great!
Good luck from Denmark!
This guy sounds like a legend!! How cool, hes a 75 year old rapper!!
And he may be the grandaddy of eurovision, but the grandma has to be Katie Boyle!
Whilst I ain't a big fan of this song, the quirkiness of it could appeal to the televoters . . . . . . it could also bemuse them and not pick up any votes!!
Good luck to Croatia!
(but sorry, you aren't one of my favourites!)

They will qualify for 100 %.
