The 54th Eurovision Song Contest 2009 will take place on:
- Tuesday May 12th 2009 - Semi Final 1
- Thursday May 14th 2009 - Semi Final 2
- Saturday May 16th 2009 - Grand Prix Final
These dates are provisional and may be subject to change.

It isn't about the best song anymore! How naive.
The UK top marks were always going to go to Greece orTurkey. Also Latvia always does well from UK - so dress up as pirates and sing an old sea shanty - result! UK 10pts to Latvia. Simple.

if the final is on the 16th of may next year , it will be so much fun when norway wins this year. because the 17th of may is our natinal day.... so we can have lots of fun for 2 days... YESS
Let's hope we can welcome back: Monaco, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Austria and Italy. Although then EBU will face another problem, but let's cross that bridge when we come to it!

well, i think sweden has big chances to win this year, but i thing it's gonna be a fight between Sweden and portugal... it is happening since both songs were shown on the web for the first time. Hero and Senhora do Mar are the favourite songs this year... that's why i think it will be Lisbon or Stockholm 2009. both are great! I prefer Vania but Charlotte is also good.

as i said, i think the win will be between Portugal and Sweden.
so, probably it will be Lisbon 2009 or Stockholm 2009.
they're different but i like both. but maybe Portugal wins. Many people here in the UK loves Portugal. I went Faro (in algarve, portugal) and Lisbon last year and it is a very beautiful country. personnaly, lisbon 2009 would be a beautiful picture!

It's difference between a ordinary participant and a "guest-entrant"(in my vision)! "G-E's" wouldn't be allowed to vote in the contest nor organize the competition in there homelands if they wins!

I don't understand you. You say NO to Kazakhstan, but you suggested Australia shound be invited to join Eurovision. LOL! They are in the other side of the world and 11 hours apart from Greenwich. Do you think it's possible?
I don't think Kazakhstan is interested in the contest, sincerely. The only country I see joining the contest is Lebanon.

I saw that video, and I reacted in the same way as you did. But I hope it's not true! It's very sad if there were some kind of conspiracy so Russia would be one of the last countries to perform in the final!

IT IS OBVIOUS THAT THERE WAS A PAPER OR PAPERS READY IN THE HEAT THAT DIMA BILAN COULD RECOGNIZE. THAT'S WHY HE STOOD UP AND ACTED THEATRICALLY UNLIKE ALL THE OTHER PARTICIPANTS.
