Maria Haukaas Storeng debutes
Sweden: Melodifestivalen & MGP artists to Allsng
Norway's Eurovision Song Contest entry Hold on be strong is climbing on the Swedish charts. Maria was the Nordic winner in this year's Eurovison Song Contest final, and the producers of SVT's most popular TV-show Allsång På Skansen invited Maria to perform her no. 1 hit in their third show on July 8th. The show is extremely popular, and it is not often a Norwegian artist is invited to perform.
Sanna Nielsen who got the viewers' highest vote in Melodifestivalen 2008 for her Empty room will also perform. BWO that came on third place with Lay your love on me will also be among the performances.
It has been a tradition that the Melodifestivalen winner will be on the show. Last year, The Ark offered a successful performance with The worrying kind. Before, Carola and Lena Philipsson also starred on the Skansen's stage. But this year, the winner will not be on the show. Charlotte Perrelli will appear on another tv show on SVT, princess Victoria birthday show, and the producers do not want to use the same artist on both shows.

cant wait to see Amanda Jenssen.
Charlotte appeared in princess Victoria's birthday show in 1999 too.

Divine will resurrect on August 5th only to do a little sing-along in Skansen??? Dear heavens, someone had better call the Pope! It seems Jesus has a challenger, and not one the holy catholic church was expecting! Oh well, apparently miracles do happen. Maybe Luxembourg will return to Eurovision after all.
Poor princess Victoria. At least her mother got ABBA for her wedding.
