Ukraine: Ani Lorak guest star in Turkey
Ani Lorak, the Ukrainian runner up of the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest, will give a concert during the International Cesme Music Festival to be held in Cesme, Turkey between 3th June and 5th July. Çeşme is one of the popular holiday resorts near İzmir which is the 3rd biggest city of Turkey. The festival has been organised in this town since 1986 attracting many international stars. Linda Martin( winner of 1992 Eurovision Song Contest for Ireland), Al Bano& Romina Power ( Italy 1976 and 1985), Emilija Kokic (1989 winner for Yugoslavia ), Tajci (Yugoslavia 1990), Duo Datz (Israel 1991) have participated in the past as well as Kylie Minogue, Janet Jackson, Duran Duran, Vanilla Ice, Patricia Kaas and Samantha Fox among others.
Turkey is a special country for Ani Lorak because of her Turkish husband Murat Nalçacıoğlu who will his wife's manager in Çeşme.

Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary says "shady=dishonest" so I believe in Ani's explanation.

wrong translation: shady lady is "lady from the shade", so it is something kinda "hidden lady"..

I'm not a big fan of "Shady lady" but I think Ani gave a good performance. It seems that my countrymen share my opinion, Sweden didn't give any points to The Ukraine.

there's been some misunderstanding here. I didn't judge her song or her voice or her performance..she has a good voice, I personally found the song boring but I didn't like the greek song that much either (I'm more of a ballad type) and she did give a good performance.
I find her fake as a person, something about her smile/attitude just screams phony to me. And after I read some of her statements (please, we aren't THAT stupid to believe that she actually told the Ukrainian presenter to urge people to vote for Greece) my opinion of her is that the woman is fake...I repeat, as a person, not as a performer.
And it's not right whenever someone has an opinion to start telling them about their own country's participant.
It's like every time you say something I disagree with, I turn around and tell you 'yeah, well, take a look at your own country's entry first'..how would you like that?
