Kiss me on November 10th

France: Natasha St-Pier prepares her comeback

Embrasse-moi (kiss me) is the title of Natasha St-Pier's new CD album which is planned to be released next November 10th.

This will be Natasha's 6th album, in a 12-years career. First two ones were released in Canada only. A chacun son histoire (the second one) was re-released in France when Natasha entered Eurovision (and placed 4th in 2001).

Only one year after, her first "made in France" CD was published, with Pascal Obispo as main composer. De l'amour le mieux reached triple platinum status (680.000 copies sold in France).  L'instant d'après and Longueur d'ondes were released, respectively in 2003 and 2006, still with Obispo's help. Natasha and him did two duets: Mourir demain and Tu trouveras, this one being performed in Spanish together with Miguel Bosé, under the title Encontrarás.

Main question about the forthcoming album is whether Obispo had once again cooperated on the project or not. That's actually what the different fan club websites of the lady would like to know.

@ renee lind
Hey, finally someone who appreciates the Russian song of 2001...
For me, Mumiy Troll should have won because of being authentic and plenty of style, Natasha should have come second and Slovenian Nusa Derenda in third place...

@ renee
I loved Russia back in 2001 that was a strangely brilliant song although I was routing for the Danes back then - and of course France should have won this year!

I remember 2001 as well because the Netherlands was really unfairly placed to. I thought they deserved to do so much better as well.

She was excellent and her entry is the best of all the traditional French ballads. But Russia should have won in 2001, and France should have won this year!!!

btw she is not Quebecoise, she is from New Brunswik in the east of Canada, the province is mainly english speaking with a minority french. That's why she is speaking and singing a very good english, very different from Celine Dion, who still has a french accent to her english.

2001 it was Greece that should have won, 2nd of course France.
:-)

"Je n'ai que mon âme" should have won in 2001. I think it's the most beautiful ballad France has ever sent, closely followed by "Il faut du temps" in 2002. But my favourite French entry is Les Fatals Picards :)

Yes we all agree on this, but in these time, with televoting, I don't even think she would come to a 4th position anymore....

Oh Natasha... I loved her in 2001!
"Je n'ai que mon âme" is pure class, one of the best ESC- songs ever with its simple but efficient music, its touching and meaningful lyrics and, course, Natasha's amazing voice!
Can't believe Estonia and Denmark were more appreciated by the voters than her!

But France: Please get the hell back to what you do best- your wonderful chansons with great lyrics and powerful singers!
With Natasha and Sandrine you'd get a good placing for sure, no matter under which circumstances the voting might be!

The real winner of 2001. I can't get how juries didn't give 12 to this masterpiece!

Good Luck Natasha!
