@ Mina Carnation:
The comment about Ireland, Portugal and Poland I don't get it...a competition is fair only if those countries reach good places?
No 80 points advantage for Russia or Turkey, those points go to other countries, who dont get top 10 positions every year. Simple and beautiful.
Well, Finland has won ESC too, proving that the 'Balkan and former USSR minus the Baltics hugging each other' doesn't always work, does it?
I love fact the fact a country without an advantage won once and you think that deletes the whole theory
. No, thats true, but they get to the qualifying spots and the final top 10 every year, and thats also enough to kinda ruin your viewing pleasure you know...
I mean, the fact that the best act won (Finland was undisputedly the best, the Dutch expert commentator said so, I thought so, and Ive heard it said on every place I read about it), and that countries like Ireland, Poland and Portugal could reach such good results shows you what the ESC could be like without the Balkan and former USSR minus the Baltics hugging each other....

lol
In the beginning I was afraid it would be another spin-off like the Jesc but actually, after seeing the first show I was really impressed! In many ways I thought the Eurovisiond Dance contest was what the normal ESC should be like...
The presenters were fantastic and professional I thought (lol that comment about 'Lithuania, the home of laughter' was BRILLIANT! More political incorrectness in the ESC!
), the quality of the acts was good, and of course... fair voting!

so I'm definitely looking forward to this one!
Poland is 13? Maybe been lucky
Good luck Poland
Ukraine to win. We are pre-last like Dima Bilan in normal Eurovision)))
and Bulgaria also
some countreys with very good dancers are out from EDC like : Belarus, France, Germany,Romania, Hungary, Czech Rep., Croatia. This is very sad
Apparently Greece and Azerbaijan had difficulties selecting a proper couple before 11th July (deadline) and EBU made an exception. I think it's unfair too.
This contest is stupid...how many branches of ESC are they going to come up with? ESC, JESC, EDC...what else? Junior Eurovision Dance contest?
God. stop inventing nonsense.
According to this...Spain has the best position...to perform...
So sad Slovenia isn't participating. And we have great dancers.. (world champions etc..)
We could win..both our dancers are very good...and I agree that they shouldn't be allowed to take place but they were (I have no idea why). Same as with Azerbaijan. But Jonny is right..the viewers don't know much about dancing anyway...LOL
* to take part, not place (when it's too hot, I forgot my english
)
It seems a little unfair that Greece get 11th, quite near the end (knowing that dances near the end of performances tend to do better because theyre fresh in the memory of the televoters), when you consider that they got the rules broken for them
imno,
it's true about the rules but since EBU accepted our dancers, what should they do about the draw?
@ Jonny K
Oh - and d'you know the reasons haphazardly?
I hope there will be a broadcast in Germany despite we're not part of the competition...
Max Raspail:
According to oikotimes the reason is "low TV-ratings in 2007 edition".
Lithuania again in 8 ... ;/
A very bad draw for Sweden. Good luck to Danny and Jeanette
Good luck and the best to win!
But i dont understand why russia should be allowed to enter as they are in a current war with another EBU member(georgia)?
Sweden to win. danny saucedo is a great latino dancer..
DRAW FOR THE RWUNNING ORDER
I'm surprised... i didn't know that Germany has withdrawn...
Does anybody know for what reasons?
I find it difficult to get excited about EDC. I remember when the ESC running order was announced, about a hour before me and my friends were waiting, not to miss it !!!
And it was sooooo exciting!!!
Ah, running orders.
Go Greece
..I hope the running order will bring us luck again
