Best Adriatic Act
B&H: Laka nominated at MTV Europe Awards!
The MTV Best Adriatic Award is awarded to artists from Bosnia & Herzegovina, Slovenia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Croatia and Serbia. This year the Bosnian 2008 Eurovision representative is in the line up for the award. Laka represented Bosnia & Herzegovina with the song Pokusaj which achieved a 10th place at the Eurovision Song Contest final in Belgrade. Both the song and the artist are currently enjoying fame, name, glory and popularity in the former Yugoslav countries. Pokusaj has been given extensive airplay in the region and has become quite popular among listeners.
In other categories 2008, Morandi and Andra from the Romanian national final are nominated for Best Romanian Act and La Casa Azul are nominated for Best Spanish Act after competing in the Spanish selection earlier this year.
The 2008 MTV Europe awards will be held on the 6th of November a the Echo Arena in Liverpool. If you would like Laka to win the MTV Best Adriatic Act Award you can vote for him by clicking here .

laka was terrible at esc2008.. dont udnerstand how people can like that crappy song..
To Mina and Kristina: You are all OK, You just do not know meaning and feeling of words like "ne silazi sa čardaka..." it is something that people from exYU can 100% know... You can only feel the energy from music and sound of words... somethig like when I do listen Finland song exp. By girls, all the best!

I agree with all that "Pokušaj" was unique and something completely different. That's why I liked this song.
But I am not sure if it would be good if Laka won in Belgrade... I was thinking about it, after all this is kind of comedy song, and I can't imagine what would happened in 2009. Aldo comedy song never won in 53 years of competition... 
I Liked Laka and i was always saying not to compare it with Ireland (which was horrible....) and that it would do well(members then were saying that Ireland might even win....... 
).
I hope he gets the award...

Whoa this is the first piece of Bosnian news since their rehearsals!
Song "Pokušaj" witch means A TRY or AN ATTEMPT was really unique this year on Eurosong... excellent stage performance, almost like mini theatre play... melody that grows and have acceleration... super dresses,... all funny and OK!
Hope Laka will get this award, it would be a nice for ESC as well! This means that You can finish at 10 position ans still be awarded with success!

Well if you have ever seen Vesturport Theatre productions it's not that orginal, but it had certainly never been done at Eurovision.

Yep...his song was so SUPREME! Maybe the performance kind of got in the way for the song, even if it looked artistic. I really like this kind of indiepop....! Credible...Like Coldplay /badly Drawn Boy / Connor Oberst or something.

A super, profound song and an excellent, winsome performance, completely misunderstood by anglophiles like Wogan. And it was ORIGINAL! How the UK could learn from him.

Lmao! He deserves it soo much, Pokusaj was crazy, weird and completely lost on me but I loved it, thought the performance, singing, everything about it was great (even the dirty laundery! )
One of my favourite entries this year. I voted for it. And yes, the performance was brilliant.
Pokusaj was quiet hit in Belgrade... Everyone where acting crazy in Eurocaffe when they heard Laka... hehehe good fun !
