News - Schlager pride in London for party launch | Eurovision Song Contest News - 2009 Moscow, Russia 

This Friday, UKeurovision launches a brand new club night in the heart of London for fans of schlager music and the Eurovision Song Contest. To support the event, fans of the musical genres are hitting the streets to promote the event. They will be joined by the flyer crew from smash hit West End musical, Eurobeat and Swedish drinks giant, Kopparberg.

The new monthly event, the UKeurovision Schlager Party, launches at The Enclave on Brewer Street, London on Friday night and will take place on the last Friday of every month. DJ Dave Simmons will be playing all the latest Schlager hits and remixes along with the top Eurovision Song Contest tracks from the present and past. The event follows the successful UKeurovision Preview Party and Winners' Party earlier this year.

Schlager fans have decided to take the music to the masses in London and are planning a mini Schlager Pride march around the capital before the event. They will be joined by a team from Eurobeat The Musical who are supporting the Eurovision fans quest for another regular party night in London and Kopparberg Cider. They will be handing out flyers and goodies in the area to raise publicity for the event before the party kicks off at 20:00 local time.

The idea is to raise awareness about the new club night and ensure that it develops to become a regular successful event in London. This will be the second monthly Eurovision event in the United Kingdom capital city, with the long running Douze Points event at Retro Bar taking place on the 2nd Thursday of every month. Organisers are keen to ensure that the two events grow side by side for the good of the Eurovision Song Contest community. UKeurovision is also looking to take the Schlager Party to other cities around the country in the near future.

Tickets for Friday night's UKeurovision Schlager Party at The Enclave are nearly sold out. There are a few remaining tickets available via the event website at www.schlagerparty.co.uk. A limited number of tickets will be for sale on the door on Friday night on a first-come, first-served basis.
