Five concerts
Russia: Dima live in Germany
From 2nd to the 11th of October the German fans of Dima Bilan will have the chance to see the Russian pop star live in concert. Allthough his short tour, supported by RusEvent.de, is being advertised on the net as a "tour through Germany" and a "perfect sensation", his live concerts are taking place, predominantly, in some smaller congress and exhibition halls. It is also obvious that this event has not attracted a big media attention in Germany.
It is not the first time that Dima Bilan visits Germany. Straight after the last stop of his winner tour on the 3rd of June in San Marino and the official release of the cd single Believe on 6 June 2008, Dima has made some promotional television appearances. Believe managed to peak at the 52th position of the German single charts.

@Zippy,
Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion or are you gonna tell me now who I can or can't like ? Sorry my friend, THIS is a free country, we are used to say what we feel.....
marc x
I don't care who and where you’ve worked. I’m Russian (by birth, moved to the States later on) and have visited the country quiet a lot. I also have a lot of friends and colleges who visited Russia and not a single one had ever had any problems with the locals.
There is no excuse to stereotype millions upon millions of people just because you don’t like some.
i would like to bring us back to the topic: i wish i had a car and some money to go to one of Dima´s lives in Germany. I am very curious to find out his real height :-) anyway i think he is a good pop star..
Mina,
I don't really want to have a conversation about it before I will be put down as a racist. But believe me, I have my reasons.
marc,
I have a different opinion about Russians, at least Russians who live here in Greece. I've met many of them through work and most of them were very nice people. Of course some of them were not so nice but the same goes for every nation in the world. However I've never been to Russia so I don't know how they behave over there, in their own country.
But still..you can't judge a nation just by the people you've met. If I judge by foreigners who are on holidays here, the Brits and the Germans must be the worst, most loud and rude people in the world...LOL
Zippy,
You need to read what I wrote down....I have been working with Russians non stop, I have been visisting Russia very often, I met lots and lots of Russians on holidays..... So I stick to my words, I absolutely do know what I am talking about
@Nikola,
Why am I not surprised, coming from a Serb ???
Anders,
i do not actually agree with your opinion: although "believe" was not my personal favourite of ESC 2008, i think it is a good ballad song, which Dima sung it in a proper, nice way. And i might have not bought the cd, but i have downloaded it plus a dance version of it. And i do not think, tha the song did not fit into the ESC, "the grand old lady"(as you call it). The violins were dramatic enough for an old lady, and the atmosphere of the appearance with the violin player and the rolling ice skater had a grandeur of its own
"Russians are not arrogant, tacky, inpolite..but yes, they are superior."
Superior compared to the Serbians?

Russians are not arrogant, tacky, inpolite..but yes, they are superior.
Mina
lol. The World Figure Skating Championships were held in Sweden this year. Greece had a good "pair" who finished 18th
Oh, so you have it in Sweden, too? I didn't know that. I suppose we'll never have it in Greece..ice skating isn't popular here..hard to find ice I suppose..LOL
Mina
Dima is great on the ice, and he's lucky to have Elena as a "teacher" and partner. Thanks for posting the video.
The Swedish "Stars on ice" started yesterday and all the participants were really good too. Two of them are MF contestants.
But "Believe" is NOT that winning song ESC needed. Definitely not
So which one was the winning song ESC 'needed'?
Here's another video of Dima...on ice...he's great in this appearance

Eurovision died a bit with "Believe". A winningsong that no one wanna buy on CD - not good for the "grand old lady" called ESC!
Nothing against either Dima nor Russia. But "Believe" is NOT that winning song ESC needed. Definitely not.

Dima has so much energy it's amazing. I've seen him live
@tori:
i know what has been written on his height: the question for me is: is he really 1.83 cm? and if yes, with or without stilettos?? :-) just kidding though..it is just, that he seems to be a bit shorter than this and i am just curious to find out..no big deal..
@Kathrin:
if he overeacts on stage, this is a good sign for me: that menas he has a lot of energy, and that is good for live appearances..and i agree with Mina on this: he was calmer and quitter in his ESCs performances, especially in the final(i liked him more in the final than in the semis). I think kalomira faced the same problem with him too: she was too energetic on stage, especially in the beginning of the song, when she had to wait until she would get onto the stae over the dancers...maybe that is why they got along so well. I like hi-energy people :-)
marc x, you're stereotyping an entire country based on one person?
That's disgusting, ignorant and embarrassing.
Kathrin,
it's true that Dima overreacts sometimes, like in this video. However, I didn't think he overreacted in ESC..actually I think he made an effort to tone down his gestures, facial expressions and everything and he followed the choreographer's instructions faithfully. Static ballads aren't his forte (not vocally, vocally he's very good..but style-wise).
@ Vincent Barbarino
I think he was extremely overacting at his appearance on the ZDF Fernsehgarten and by the way also at the ESC. His exaggerated gestures are ridiculous. He doesn't bring across the meaning of the song authenticly towards the audience. Sometimes less is more and this is also true when it comes to his gestures, facial expressions and movements.
Vincent
It's written here that he is 1,82 m.

Well I saw him live in London, during the winners tour and 60 % of the (very small) pubic were Russians. And I know that I would not pay even 1 euro anymore to see this arrogant little sh... live. He is really the orrect example of how I see Russians, arrogant, tacky, inpolite, superiority feeling,..... Russia winning this year is a nightmare for me, as I promised myself never ever to visit that country again. Too many nasty things happened in my contacts with Russians.
and i forgot to say...like him or not..i find him remarkable at ease with the cameras and i like the way he plays with the microphone on this live appearance on ZDF-Fernsehgarden...:-)
the truth is that tickets vary from 29-100 Euros, the expensive and the vip omnes are all sold out(maybe because they have been distributed for free...). If I wansn't some many hunderds kilometers away from the towns he apperas, i would have definetely gone there to see him live. I am also curious to see jhow this guy really looks like, i mean live..he also says he is 1,83 cm tall, but i do not believe this..:-) On the whole i like him as a pop star though. And although his song "believe", a nice song indeed, did not definetely belong to my favs of this year, i think he is an acceptable winner..well that is my very personal opinion..
i know aldi are a cut price supermarket, but even they wouldnt stoop so low
Oh please give me a break.... ALDI was a joke folks...... Btw Jonny, I wish I was related to the ALDI brothers, two sons of a small retailer who are now in top 3 of Germany's richest people.... In top 10 in Europe.....
