Croatia 2005
Boris Novkovic will become a father for the first time
After the death of Boris’ father Djordje Novkovic (a very famous songwriter and composer who was responsible for Don’t ever cry, the first ever Croatian Eurovision Song Contest- entry as an independent country, performed by the group Put in 1993), the anticipation of the birth of his son means a lot to Boris and is said to give him new energy: “I have done a lot of important things but a child was still missing, so I am glad that this will also happen for me now.”
Boris Novkovic has participated in DORA, the Croatian pre- selection for Eurovision, numerous times and has won on two occasions: He represented Croatia in 2005 with his song Vukovi umiro sami (Wolves die alone) at the Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev. Furthermore, he composed the Croatian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006, Moja stikla, performed by Severina Vukovic. Boris reached 11th place, receiving 115 points in the final, while Severina managed to get 56 points and 12th place in the final. Read more about Boris’ latest album here.
