Cyprus: Michalis Chatzigiannis releases new album

On October 29th, 2008, Michalis Chatzigiannis, who represented Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest 1998 in Birmingham, has released his brand new studio album entitled 7 under Universal Music through his sub label M2.

The album is entirely in Greek language and is the successor of his latest album Filoi Kai Ehthri, which was released in 2006 and achieved a 4x Platinum certification. Michalis’ new album, 7, features eleven tracks, all composed entirely by himself. Most of the lyrics are written by Eleana Vrahali. The album is dominated by a pop/rock and R&B- sound, as well as some Greek influences.

The first single from the new album, Emeis Oi Dio San Ena, was already released in September as a CD single and can be watched below

7 also features the song I agapi pou meni (Polikatikia), the theme song of the Greek show I Polikatikia (The Apartment Building), aired on Mega Channel Greece.

Here is the full track listing of 7:

1) Emeis oi dio san ena (Us two like one)
2) I agapi pou menei (Polikatikia) (The love that remains (Apartment building))
3) Niose konta mou (Feel close to me)
4) Mi me koitas (Don't look at me)
5) Ola tha pane kala (Everything will go well)
6) Thalassa (Sea)
7) Par' ta ola dika sou (Take it all for yourself)
8) Alli mia nihta (One more night)
9) Pou na se vro (Where can I find you)
10) Anapoda (Upside down)
11) Anaptiras (Lighter)

Michalis Chatzigiannis represented Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1998 with his self- composed song Genesis. He ended up at 11th place with 37 points.

Mihalis HAdjiyannis is a good artist , but very repetitive and so expected...All of his songs and the way of performance seem the same. It's like you hear one song from him. galantis.athens
