Best duo/group performance
After the nominations for best male and female performance, it's now time for the duos and groups. The award was won in 2006 by Lordi from Finland, who also won the Eurovision Song Contest. Last year, it went to D'Nash from Spain, who actually only finished 20th in the competition. In 2008, 13 groups and duos were taking part and can be nominated for the award.

Best preview video
Both in 2006 and 2007, the award went to the song that finished 9th in Eurovision Song Contest: Everything by Anna Vissi and Unsubstantial blues by Magdi Rúzsa. 30 countries can be nominated this year. The 13 countries that cannot be nominated have only submitted the national final performance or song presentation. For some songs a video was produced but it was not submitted to the EBU as a preview video (i.e. Sweden and Germany) so those cannot be nominated either. Our reference are the videos presented on the official Eurovision Song Contest website eurovision.tv.

I think Iceland and Romania were both great. Though I voted on Iceland since I liked that show more.
The best video has to be Sebastien Tellier's Divine. Incredible imagination for an incredible song.
As for best group I went for Turkey - just a really professional, polished performance on the night with a great song.

Btw in my last post, when I say "this year" I mean 2008, and when I say "last year" I mean 2007 
It still feels like the 2008 season for me
If I was voting for best quality video, then I wouldn't have voted for Iceland, I would have voted for Ukraine, Turkey or Russia. But although the Icelandic video was cheap, cheesy and it probably only cost them a few hundred quid to make, it was soooo clever and the idea behind it was genius!
I think this year the quality of preview videos was actually really high compared with some other years. Although last year there were some great videos aswell, Hungary, Turkey (and yes I do mean this lol) the UK all had great preview videos
Although normally I prefer watching NF performances over Preview videos
Best duo/group performance: San Marino Miodio (I wanted them in the final soooooo much

Best preview video: Russia (one of the best videos I've ever seen).

Best group performance: Azerbaijan – Elnur & Samir, although Finland we're a tight second.
I don't watch the previews (I like to be surprised on the night!) so I will abstain from voting on that.

These were the most difficult categories by far...so far...
Best duo/group: Azerbaijan, Turkey, San Marino, Iceland, Finland, Romania

2. Iceland: I absolutely love that video, was relly funny and original
3. Hungary: very classic and well done video for a lovely ballad.

Best Duo/group performance : Turkey (well i've already voted azerbaijan as performance of the year, but i try to be objective here xD)
