TRM Moldova

Natalia Gordienko back?

Moldova: Pre-selection begins

Moldavian national broadcaster TRM has already invited all the Moldavian composers and singer to participate in the national final that will probably take place in February 2009. The songs must be submitted until 20th December.

The internal preselection includes all submitted songs and will take place after the deadline which is on 20th December. A jury will select 20 songs that will participate in the national final. After 45 days of the selection of the songs, TRM will organize a National final that will be transmitted by TRM and TV Moldova 1. There will be a mix of televoting and an expert jury.

There are already rumours that some artists already have submited or are willing to submit songs for the national final. Among them are Natalia Gordienko, who represented Moldova in the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest with Arsenium and the song Loca, Onnik, El Radu, Single point, Elite, Pavel Parfenii and others.

I really wished 'Made in Moldova' had won in 2006 for Moldova, quality wise, it probably wasn't far off Loca, but at least it was a slice of the bizarre :)

@ Ben Gray

I've read the news about Hungary but I don't understand it. A decision next week? Deadline is November 15th (EscKaz reference), that is tomorrow!

I think "A century of love" was a very good song, one of my favourites this year :) I also liked "Boonika bate toba".

Good luck !

El Radu is Radu Sarbu from O-Zone. He or Natalia Gordienco will go to Moscow.

I hope it's something like "boonika" again.

There's also Armenia still to confirm. Hungary told another site that they'll make a decision next week.

Another country confirming participation...if I'm not wrong there are about 40 countries that have confirmed it to EBU.
I think only Hungary, Montenegro and San Marino are still undecided...is it true that the deadline for submitting interest is November 15th???

I liked Loca. It was cool and refreshing like a summer breeze.

Please spare us Natalia Gordienko...

A Century Of Love has been my favourite Moldovan entry so far but all their entries (apart from Loca of course) have been pretty top notch.

Good luck in 2009 Moldova. :)

Moldova is a funny country when it comes to eurovision, they've sent good songs, "fight", "a century of love", "boonika bate doba" . . . however they've also sent one of the most horrific entries in the contest EVER! Yes I mean "loca", i'm shuddering even thinking about it now lol ;)
Hopefully if Natalia Gordienko does return, she will sing something a bit better than "loca" ;)

Good luck Moldova :D ;)
