Austria : Global Kryner to release Live in Luxembourg
Since 2004, three CD albums have been released by Global Kryner, who specialized in folkloric cover versions of rock, pop and soul classics. Last-to-date studio album, Weg, published in 2007, includes songs like Oye como va (Santana), Proud Mary (Creedence Clearwater Revival) , I will survive (Gloria Gaynor) and Dschinghis Khan. The sleeve of Weg show all 6 members of the band naked but with paint on their bodies. Global Kryner gives a good number of concerts here and there. On this Sunday, November 16, they are playing in Friedrichshafen, Germany, and tomorrow, they will back in Vienna. All in all, until next February, 20 dates are announced in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg and even France.

More about them on their personal and very pleasant website here, which has a Chinese version. With Y asi, Global Kryner represented Austria in Kiev, 2005, but failed to qualify for the Big final, endind 21st of the semi-final with 30 points.

Heyyy i was at there concert at 14. November.....i loved it!!!....btw i allready have there new Album.....lucky me...it's great.....and just to let you know......Sebastian Fuchsberger (the one at the ESC 2005 who was yodelling) did leave the band in May 2008.....the new trombonist is called Wolfgang Tischhart....he's a cute....specially for the boys.....if you know what i mean....greets ;-)
Global Kryner was one of the freshest ESC opening acts in ages! Too bad they didn't qualify.

When you say everybody here, there's only 4 of us posted, so maybe only the 4 of us liked the song? 
Did I miss something in their performance? I found it fun, but the song was . . frankly . . naff! Sorry to anybody who likes it (which seems to be like everybody here!) but it doesn't float my boat lol
Global Kryner are an excellent example of a Eurovision entry who were prepared to give us something new and exciting without making a complete joke of it. Well done!
Global Kryner should had been in the final!
I loved Y asi! I sent them an email in the weeks before Eurovision 2005 telling them that they were the favourite of my school friends in my home town to win Eurovision and they replied saying that they hoped Big Australia's wishes could help Little Austria suceed!
Seems our Greek community's hopes were answered more than that of a few Albury-Wodongan school kids 
Still, Glad to see they're still about and as awesome as ever!
Global Kryner = best Austrian entry EVER!!!
