Divine in Mgane commercial

France: Sbastien Tellier tours the world

Sebastien Tellier, the French entrant in the Eurovision Song Contest will soon be hitting the road travelling from Japan to the USA promoting his album, Sexuality. The new commercial for Renaults Mgane features this years French entry, Divine, as soundtrack. This is not the first time the famous French car brand chooses a tune composed and performed by Sbastien Tellier. His Ritournelle, issued in 2004, was already used as musical backing.

From 21 November, Tellier will be travelling  the world to promote his latest CD album, Sexuality.  The artist will very soon be in Japan and Italy. At the beginning of December, Tellier will travel the USA from West to East, before he gets to Mexico. Two dates in England are already announced at the end of January in Brighton and London. His full tour schedule can be found here.

Last May in Belgrade, Sébastien Tellier represented France and received a total of 47 points, which gave him a 19th position.

You can watch the Megane commercial here.

Thanks to Franck, Dalécio and Philippe

Not one of my fave entries this year :S In fact I don't really like the song a great deal . . . but I don't think its a bad song . . because seeing as so many people like it, it can't be that bad! I reckon had the camera angles been better or at least normal and the vocals a little better this song would have done well :D

+ The new Megane is a good looking car ;)

Easily one of the best songs ever entered into Eurovision. So fresh sounding and retro at the same time. It was so good that even the UK had to give it points!

France worked it's way into my favorites of this year (Alongside Portugal and Sweden) on the night itself, brilliant song with a great sense of fun about it.

Plus it was worth it for the confused expressions of all the serbs around me who sat still while i stood up and danced (mind you, they sat for everything aside from Serbia themselves!)

WHAT A WAST OF TIME , HIS ENTRY WAS RUBBISH , COME ON FRANCE YOU CAN SEND BETTER SONGS THEN THAT .

France was my no. 1 this year. A welcome change of style from pompous ballads. So distinctive, creative, catchy, many-sided....One of the best ESC songs ever in my book :)

Not really a surprise that his song is used in a commerical for a car. It sort of fits it I think. I hope to be able to see that commerical one day.

I live in Oslo, and I also went to his gig. A nice evening indeed. Wasn't too keen on the lenghty apperence of his support act though.

It's true, this song is quite popular in Spain, not only by the spot soundtrack...
