The first of four wildcards to be participating in the Swedish preselection for the 2009 Eurovision song contest has been revealed today by SVT. Jonny
I agree. Apart from Andorra (my first favourite) I wanted to see for instance Iceland, The Netherlands and Belgium in the final :)

Stockholm
I thought the same thing-ish, I think its great now, but in 2007 I didn't watch the semi and so only saw the qualifiers on the final night, and I was a bit dissapointed that Moldova qualified, but now i'm glad they have ;) I agree that Andorra should have qualified btw ;) The 2007 semi was a bit of a travesty in that alot of good songs were left behind :(

Jonny
Now when I listen to Moldova's 2007 entry again I think it's quite good but last year I was disappointed and surprised that it qualified. I was hoping for Andorra :)

As I haven't watched the Moldovan selection I can't answer your question. I did watch at least 10 NFs in 2008 though, but none of them were as good as MF imo :)
The fact that Moldova is one of Drusus1's favourite countries does not necessarily mean that he favours the Moldovan NF. My "favourite countries" are based only on the ESC entries. That said, I don't agree with Drusus1's comments on here ;)

Stockholm
I think their 2008 entry was great aswell :D Easily their best entry for me though was 2007, although 'a century of love' has grown on me alot ;)

Princess
Stockholm wasn't comparing NF's at all ;)
I said "i'm not exactly a fan of the Moldovan selection": But I wasn't comparing national finals, they're not really comparable anyway because the Moldovan one is done on a smaller budget and has a totally different format, but there were still some good songs in this years Moldovan selection ;)

@Stockholm Calling: But can you compare Moldova's NF with MF? It's not only the winner songs who make a NF good.

Jonny
LOL.
I agree on "Loca" but Moldova's 2008 entry was great imo :) I also liked their 2005 entry.

Euro Sheep
"Look at his profile, one of his favourite countries is Moldova - and he criticizes us for liking MF!!!" - lol thats harsh! But I have to confess, i'm not exactly a fan of the Moldovan selection and they can never be forgiven for 'loca' (I still have nightmares :S!!)

Princess
lol, well I come from the UK and well . . . everybody knows how crap some of our selections have been in the past few years!!

Btw a bit of background info . . . The original Drusus was born in 38BC and "was the youngest son of Roman Empress Livia Drusilla" :P (wikipedia is great isn't it! ;)) Somehow I doubt its the same Drusus lol ;) Because I doubt this drusus is 2046 years old ;)

Jonny
LOL :D I have to agree with Princess Engla - drusus is a jive turkey :P and a funk!!! Look at his profile, one of his favourite countries is Moldova - and he criticizes us for liking MF!!! :D

@Jonny K: LOOOOOOL! Drusus 1 is a funk! He will NEVER tell where he's come from, because he shame for his National final. He know his country's NF is CRAP and it will be bashed if he tell name of his country. Drusus 1 is a FUNK!

Perhaps this is the fresh part of MF many want to see. A ballad with a twist....certainly sounds interesting.

I am not familiar with his work...have to look him up.

Yes! I love him! :)

The song is described as "a ballad with a twist".
Parody. Morphs into schlager. Rap ballad.

I can't wait. :D

Drusus 1 is sooooooooooooo jealous on Sweden and MF!!!!!!!!!!!! Because he know that MF is so much better than his own crappy National Final!

Markoolio will be interesting to follow! I can't wait to hear his ballad.

He's simply great...though his hilarious (i'm sure it will be) ballad risk to win and being a flop if not translated into English
the entries revealed so far are soooo great...really looking forward to MF2009!!

Nice, but It's a ballad, and there will be many ballads, so that's good for Linda Bengtzing ( I hope her Jag tror pa oss isn't a ballad )

I was hoping to be surprised and I am !!! Keep the shocks coming and ditch the boring "I've been in MF 250 times" artists.

Seriously, I never saw this coming :D I'm so surprised (but in a good way!!!) This guy is the Swedish definition of "Joker" :)

Markoolio is hilarious and I think that he may steal the whole show! :P

Fingers crossed that Ace of Base will get one of the wildcards!!! :D
