Greece: Sakis Rouvas' new album and single
Sakis' new album, Irthes (You came), composed and produced mainly by Dimitris Kontopoulos, will be released in the following days in Greece. It will contain nine tracks as well as his summer hit Se thelo (I want you) which spent 10 weeks at #1 of the Greek National Airplay List.
In a recent interview with popular Greek weekly magazine Downtown, Sakis talks about the reasons that made him return to the Eurovision Song Contest: " Placing third was a very good position but I feel I have left something unfinished. And I want to return to complete it. I wasn't all I could really be, all I can actually be under the current circumstances." He also returns for the experience: "It was the experience of a lifetime for me at every level", Sakis admits, "you are part of a team which supports you. They are right there beside you and all this good energy is focused on you to represent Greece, something which is a great honour and overwhelming at the same time".
Sakis performed his new single, Irthes, last night during the X Factor, live for the first time on Greek television. Irthes was composed by Dimitris Kontopoulos, who will also be behind his Eurovision entry.

Sakis for Greece, Hadise for Turkey, I hope also Mihai Traistariu for Romania and Chiara for Malta... and the upcoming ESC would promise to be unforgettable

PLEASE, he should compete naked in Eurovision... haha! By the way, good live performance, much better than in Istanbul (maybe because he was dancing and he couldn't breath well...?)
And a part from that, Kalomira should had won in Belgrade.

I really hope that either Greece or Turkey or Belgium will win in Moscow 2009!! These 3 countries are amazing!!!

I think Kai se thelo could have not win Eurovision. No more ballads to win, please... I wish ESC 2009 to be uptempo all the time...
I think that Sakis has PROVEN last night , with his LIVE performance ,that he is a VERY VERY VERY good singer. And I believe that they reliesed this ballad now in order to do that. I am sure that his eurovision entry will be something similar with his dance hits , but at this time it is smart that they released a powerful ballad.
This song would have been perfect for the 1988 final. Let's hope he can come up with something more modern for 2009.

His song Kai Se Thelo, the one he performed at the 2008 MAD awards would have made a brilliant Eurovision entry for Greece!!! Would have won by a mile!1 Great song and performance.
Hopefully he will perform a similar song at next years contest!!

I agree with Stockholm that I prefer "Kai Se Thelo" to "Irthes" but they're both good songs No doubt hes definitely gonna do well in Moscow, very well, and Greece could easily win again, it just depends on the song and the quality of other entries 
(also it depends on the might of Hadise!)

We never know who will win but the signs tell us it might be either Hadise or Sakis.... A neigbourly competition will be nice to watch...

I LOVE this song and Sakis was awesome last night. I wish we would send a song like this to esc but I know we won't.
first off, the song is great. it would never have been made for eurovision though. the song he will sing at esc will be made for eurovision.
i also believe sakis and hadise will be in the mix for the win.
