Hadise for turkey 2007?

Public not involved

Turkey: Hadise's song to be selected by jury

TRT, the Turkish broadcaster, puts an end to speculations regarding the way Hadise's song will be selected for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. The same method used in previous years with Kenan Dogulu and Mor ve otesi will be applied for next year as well.

Hadise will be presenting TRT with a selection of three songs of her own choice. The final decision lies with an expert jury, assembled by the Turkish broadcaster. As Director of TRT's Polyphonic Music Department, Mr Ümran Sönmezer, told partner site Belgovision.com the public will in no way be involved in the selection as it was rumoured before. The jury is expected to have reached a decision by the end of the year.

I believe more in internal selection than public... except Spain (they always choose bad).

Turkish internal selection have always worked well, except in 2005

Good luck TURKEY!!! Spain loves U.

this mey not be democratic ive told this hundreds of times here but im not afraid of it as i was before as results may not be that bad except Gülseren :S

i dont trust public much so my vote goes to professional jury

In my opinion, the public should choose the song. I don't understand why they decided on a jury unless they thought that they will already have the public vote and in this way maybe they'll get high votes from the juries, too ;)

Good luck, Turkey
Although they don't need it. Since 2004, always has been in semifinal. Last year I saw the 2nd semifinal in TRT and were making spots of Eurovision's final with the song of Mor ve otesi.
Someway, they know they will pass... I hope I'll like Hadise more than Mor ve otesi.

This is a shame :(
I always think that a national final should be . . . not neccesarily compulsory . . . but definitely encouraged where it is impossible, because I don't see how a country can really get behind their entry unless they (the public) selected it themselves :S

Anyway i'm sure whatever is selected it will be great! :D Good luck Turkey :D

sometimes songs that are selected internally do better. (Greece 2004, Russia 2006 and 2007, Turkey 2003 and 2007 some examples)

good luck to Turkey!

I always think that the public should choose the song not an internal jury...... Especially in case of Turkey, where it's thanks to that public immigrated all over Europe that they get a top 5-10 position.....

Poor Trt. It's a big shame for us. What kinda democracy it is? We can't select even our songs on our own..
SHAME SHAME SHAME

I don't mind what will they do anymore. Even Andorra works harder on Eurovision more more more than Turkey...
GRRRRRRRRRRRR :@@@@
