Turkey : Three songs are ready to be submitted to TRT

Hadise, who will represent Turkey in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, gave a press meeting at 16:00 CET in Istanbul at the Richmond Hotel. esctoday.com editor Hakan Yalcinkaya was present and brings information from the conference.

Hadise attended the meeting with her manager. She explained that three songs are ready to be submitted to broadcaster TRT between 20th and 25th December. Furthermore, she revealed that the songs will be shown on TRT on 30th or 31st December. All songs are mainly in English but also contain few words in Turkish. The lyrics are written by Hadise herself and  Stefan Fernande and the music is contributed by a Turkish composer.

The singer thanked Erdem  Kınay, Volkan Tamöz, Ozan Çolakoğlu, Fergan Mirkelam, Sinan Akçil, Taner Yurdunkulu, Orkun Tunç and Cenk Durmazer for helping to create the songs. She added that she also wishes to work with them on her new album. All entries are uptempo songs with Turkish flavour, and Hadise said that one them impressed her very much. The songs were composed during a short period of time. It was also revealed that heavy promotion is planned.

I really have no idea about Hadise. Just checked the information about her on Wikipedia. I am sure it is a great choice for Turkey in 2009. Guys you are a real candidate to win ESC in 2009. Viva Turkey, Go Hadise!

TURKEY/AZERBAIJAN FOREVER!

Well yes Djamilia, why not ? After the ice skting last year and Greece's book, Ukraine light cases.... we can put a bed on stage for Turkey.... Maybe she can immitate Madonna's performance like a virgin during her Blonde ambition tour.... Well let's wait and see how the Turkish autorities will react to that ?

They can create beautiful choreography for her without actually having to make her dance - especially if the song is very Turkish in style. Four sexy men could carry her out on one of those veiled beds. They could set it down on a part of the floor that spins slowly in a circle and she could crawl about, roll about, grabbing the posts like a cage or something while the men dance - there are lots of options, it really won't be a problem. They'll make it so Europe can't see at that performance that she can't dance.

Maybe she can sing in Flemish (her mothertongue), will sound like turkish to most of us anyway......

while turkey is getting diaspora votings, you people don't relate these high points as western countries's real votes...because of immigrants r originally turkish... but when hadise announced as her own country's representative, these esc fans turned their ideas interestingly and started to argument about which country is turkish immigrants real country...!
really so funny guys :)

obviously if it's hadise it's going to be uptempo song thats what most of us expect from her, I can't wait to hear the songs it's been chosen very quick.
It's true she can't really move not very good at dancing, she can improve on that, but she is really great at singing uptempo songs and she has different powerful energy on stage. Plus she will do really impressing cheography.
Recently, I always wanted her to represent Turkey and I am very happy to see her for esc. I beleive she can win it.

All entries are uptempo songs with Turkish flavour

That's good. We had so many ballads this year, it's time for some uptempo songs.

@Djamila N.
Great you're back! :)

Im curious too about bosnian TOP 3 at ESC 2009. I thik Hadise is going to have excellent uptempo song with great coreography. She and Sakis are my favourites till now. lol. And I must add that Bosnia was voting for Greece every year since 2004. So, Sakis could be fighting for maybe 8 points of Bosnian televoting/jury mix at ESC final 2009 (I expect great song from his side, and interesting stage performance).

thats great news.its like a dream come through i mean a representative is free all the way n can work vwith many names.this brings u creativity not forcin the singer to create the song.i see she worked with great names.esp.Fergan Mirkelam who wants to represent Turkey so much one day.im sure he added a great Turkish flavour to one of the songs.

i believe in hadise.if she esp.feels close to one song the song must have smt.

though i think its a bit early to announce i think if its a good song it wont loose its quality till may(it can be forgotten but not be bored of.this can be an advantage)

go girl (L)
