One week before Greece decides
Kalomira returns to Greek Eurovision final
Kalomira Sarantis will return to the Athinon Arena next week to perform two songs from her album, titled after her 2008 Eurovision Song Contest entry, Secret Combination. She will be joined by more 2009 Eurovision Song Contest representatives, including Montenegro, Cyprus and Belarus acts as special guest performers in the Greek national final.
During the show, Sakis Rouvas will perform three songs on stage, and one of them will represent Greece in the second Eurovision Song Contest semi final on Thursday 14th May in Moscow. The winning song will be selected by a combination of televoting and jury voting.
The three songs that Greece will choose from will be presented during a press conference tomorrow by ERT with Sakis Rouvas meeting the media.

Kalimora (for me) was a shock in coming 3rd last year. I did not rate the song at all and still dont!!!
BTW, I used to love Greek entries when they used Greek!!!
Why doesn't Greece present a song in their own language? Is it so inappropriate for contemporary music???? (I don't think so, but I just wonder why English only!!!)

Speaking of voices, it depends on everyone's taste. Aleka Kanelidou is a greek singer whose voice I love and yet I know many people who don't like her voice because it's too 'deep'. Some people like soft voices, like Chiara's, others like deeper voices.
Kalomoira has an unusual voice and sometimes it sounds like a little child's..some people like it and some don't but one thing's for sure..if you hear Kalomoira singing on the radio, you will instantly know it's her..her voice is very recognizable.

her song was okay, catchy and sweet, but her voice? helena was miles better than this woman with a voice of a ten year old kid
She was really good in Belgrade. I also bought her CD album and I liked it. It's modern and nice, even if sometimes a bit childish indeed, but overall I enjoyed it. Go girl !

KALOMIRA is the BEST...and I dont care what people say....plus her singing is great,,,Ive been to A Britney SPEARS concert,girl cant sing a note,,shes lucky she can dance and lucky computers exist to alter her voice...SEEN RIHANNA too..sounds like an AUSTRIAN chick YODELING..but they have people buying their cds and make MILLIONS....Ive heard KALOMIRA sing live and her voice is way better live than lots of artists,,,the only thing KAlOMIRA does not have is a AMERICAN BIG SHOT MANAGER ....so please if KALOMIRA had a CD in the USA and a producer/FAMOUS song writer(lets say TIMBALAND) to make a hit for her in the USA...you FOOLS would be the first to BUY her CD,,,just like everyone ran to buy the stupid song UMBRELLA..and WOMANIZER..oh I forgot and that stupid song (I kissed a girl)by KATY PERRY a GIRL who really cant sing...go see her performance at the GRAMMYS...
I totally loved her last year. Her 3rd place and Sakis' 3rd place are uncomperable to me - she just had way better song !!! For my taste
And her performing was nice, maybe too colorfull stage, but OK. She sang the song with no problem helped by good back vocals, and she danced well, and ppl in arena loved her.
And about her childish voice and speaking ... that's her. Why would we hate somebody for the way he/she speaks and looks. She wasn't pretending, that's her. if somebody hates her, dont watch !

i really hate kalomoira's general style and her personality and speaking like cat was anoying me.. but although these factors she deserved 3rd place last year. because "secret combination" was her best song so far and it was one of my favourite songs last year. stage show was good, back vocals helped her on the stage so finally she could gain a fair and succesfull result... congratulations. sometimes i listen secret combination but still i don't her as a singer.

Martakis was in the Hellenic Navy for his military services during the last part of 2008. He released a new song or 2, and a re-packaged version of his last album. He is currently preparing his 2nd studio album.
Kalomira is hot! Of course she should have the right to sing last year's ESC entry and a track from her new album, I don't understand why ERT didn't like that proposal initially. It looks like the Greek final will be a great show this year!

What are you talking about? Rouvas didnt even get into negotiations with Rouvas for ESC until June. So how did Kalomoira know anything? Plus, ERT was actually thinking about sending three girls this year......(Before Rouvas stated interested)

Lina is right, compared to alot of countries (the UK, Sweden, Finland, Malta, Bulgaria . .) Greece has had very few articles. But besides, this isn't propoganda anyway, its not even publicity, its just that certain countries have had more going on or more interesting news and thus have had more articles, its not propaganda! Propoganda and publicity are two completely different things, and this isn't even publicity! Its not as if the fact there are more articles about the UK than Greece will have any effect on the outcome, it won't whatsoever!
