LIVE
The show had started.
Song 01. Stachursky - I nie mów nic (equal 9th place in esctoday.com poll with 1.4%)
An eighties style pop-rock song opening the contest. The performance is very good although the lead singer seems to be a little unfocused, and it does not come across well on camera, it might damage their chances tonight. They all wear simple black suits and the band includes a drummer and a guitarist apart from the lead singer.
Song 2: Det Betales - Jacqueline (4th in esctoday.com poll with 5.9 %)
The name says it all, it's a song in the style of world dominant band, The Beatles. The lead singer may remind some of us of Paul McCartney, and apart from him there are four backing singers, two of them are playing guitars, just like the lead singer.
Song 3: Man Meadow - Love is gonna get you (1st place in esctoday.com poll with 39.4 %)
Returning for a second year in a row, the duo from Sweden - Man Meadow, with a song once again written by Thomas G:son. They finished in the 3rd place last year with the song Viva La Musica written by G:son. This may be a potential winner, it is an uptempo Pet Shop Boys style song, though the duo seem uncertain with the performance. They're accompanied with four backing singers, remebering that Nicklas has been sick with a throat infection for the last week. They are dressed in simple black and white suits, along with their backing dancers in matching outfits.
Song 4: Dali - Everyday (6th in esctoday.com poll with 4.1 %)
A rock-punk song by Dali, a band made up of the lead singer playing the guitar, two more guitarists and a drummer. The song has a very American sound and is not a typical Eurovision Song Contest entry. Their vocal abilities are great and the crowd really likes their performance. The song could go all the way to Moscow.
Song 5: Ira - Dobry czas (8th in esctoday.com poll with 3.2 %)
Ira previously took part in the very first polish national final, back in 2003. Another rock band for tonight, the lead singer performs with two guitarists and a drummer. Their voices are very powerful and fits perfectly for this song, along with the music and the black suits.
Song 6: Artur Chamski - Kilka slów (5th in esctoday.com poll with 4.5 %)
After several rock songs, it's the time for a ballad. Artur is dressed in a silver shirt and the camera focuses on his blue eyes.on the stage with him we can see three backing singers and a pianist. The song could do well in the Eurovision Song Contest.
Song 7: Marco Bocchino & Ola Szwed - All my life (= 9th in esctoday.com poll with 1.4 %)
It's a ballad sung by a duo accompanied by a band of guitars and drums.Perfect vocals and this song might do well. Marco is dressed in a leather suit and sunglasses, fits to his long hair and Ola is wearing a dress. The performance is ending with the duo holding hands and the crowd seems to like it a lot.
Song 8: Tigrita Project - Mon chocolat (3rd in esctoday.com poll with 12.7 %)
In the rhythm of the tango and the french language, Tigrita Project comes with a different song to the NF stage. The main singer, a woman, is dressed up with a black and red dress while two backing singers are wearing black suits with red ties. It is very good in quality but yet may not fit the traditional Eurovision Song Contest style.
Song 9: Renton - I'm not sure (7th in esctoday.com poll with 3.6 %)
The last rock song for tonight, full of rhythm. Performed perfect vocally by all the band members - The main singer, two girls, two guitarists and a drummer. They wear vintage clothes and the performance is very charismatic. Could do good with a little luck.
Song 10: Lidia Kopania - I don't wanna leave (2nd in esctoday.com poll with 24.0 %)
The favourite of local fan club OGAE Poland. It's a power ballad that reminds us of last year's Polish Eurovision Song Contest entry for Poland, For life. Lidia is dressed up in a blue dress and performs the song perfectly while three backing singers and two dancers are helping her, all dressed in white. It is popular with the international fans too, placing second in the esctoday.com poll. Could the last song win?
There is a 20 minute voting window now where the songs are discussed. Ruslana is now performing as a special guest in the show. Ruslana performs for 'several minutes'. Special guest, Isis Gee returns after winning the competition in 2008. She took Poland back to the Eurovision Song Contest final last year.
