Four songs for Kdam 2009
Israel to select Eurovision entry on 2nd March
The four songs will be presented for the first time from 18:00 local time (17:00 CET) on February 24th February on the IBA's official Eurovision Song Contest site, Eurovil. They will also be be played for the first time on IBA Gimmel Radio at the same time. The Kdam national final will take place from 21.45 local time (20.45 CET) on Monday 2nd March. The show will be broadcast live on IBA 1 in Israel and internationally via the webcast at the official Israeli broadcaster's Eurovision Song Contest website: www.iba.org.il/eurovil.
Voting will be split between a televote and expert jury. The televote will account for 55% of the result, the jury will represent 45% of the final result.
The four songs are:
- Bo'i Li'rkod Iti - Come dance with me
- Eiynaich - Your eyes
- Yesh Yamim - There are days
- Kol Shniya - Every second

They will have the opportunity to vote in the televote, worth 40% of the result in the final. The international result will be delivered by Stella Floras, as one seventh of the jury vote.

I have big hopes on this year's Israeli national selection (Kdam), after the very high quality of last year's selection with Boaz, where all competing songs were high class.
I think that Israel finally found a concept for national final that suits them well, with internally selected artist and then invite some good songwriters for a 4 songs selection. I really hope that the songs this year will be as high quality as the ones last year.
Last year I liked every single song in the Israeli selection, and the fact that the selected song ended up in my top. 10 for ESC 2008, although being my least favorite in the Kdam selection, says alot about the quality of the songs of last year's Kdam!

this year 29 years after Moroco 1980, the Arabic language will be heard again on Eurovision stage.

i bet the 4 songs will be amazing and with sensitive touch. like all of Noa and Mira's songs.
specialy Noa that each song of her is perfect.
one thing for sure...this girls have great taste in music and they will not compormize on low level songs. i bet they picked the best songs for this Kdam.
i see Israel do well in the Semi-final and go to the Final.

TEL-AVIV 2010. yes...even with all the bad critisism Israel have, Israel will win this year or will be top 5 in the final. mark my words.

Noa is a goddess
i've seen her already four times on stage when she toured in France, and the last time was in December. She was HUGE!
I don' t know why but I think that ISRAEL will be very high in the ranking this year..!

Where do you hear the songs?
I hope Israel picks a nice song and good luck to them. However, I dont seem them doing well this year no matter what they pick, even with an Arab singer in the mix 
The Gaza situation would still be quite strongly in peoples minds come May!

Finally Achinoam Nini will represent my country! I thought about this idea years ago but gave up as years went by - only to be surprised for good this year! & Mira Awad is great tool. If not Harel Skaat - they are the best next thing, & for me Achinoam Nini is equal to my dream to see Harel Skaat at Eurovision - & if our Israeli song will be great - I can't ask for more. Well... maybe that Harel Skaat will represent Israel next in 2010 - & then it will be perfect.What makes me happy the most is that now people all over Europe & even all over the world get to know Shiri Mimon, now Achinoam Nini & hopefully will get to know Harel Skaat as well someday.
