Your 2009 Eurovision favourites so far (4)
How does it work?
Once an entry is selected, a poll is held with the following six options: I love it, I like it, It's ok, It's nothing special, I don't like it and I hate it. The options are transferred to points of the values 3, 2, 1, -1, -2 and -3 respectively. The percentage an option got is then multiplied by its value. Therefore, the highest score an entry can get is +300, the lowest is -300. All polls remain open until the Eurovision Song Contest in May, so the placings may change every week. Please notice: These charts are in no way supposed to predict the outcome of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, they are just supposed to show which songs have the most fans among the readers.

The newly selected Spanish entry is now on top with the Norwegian entry closely behind. The UK, last weeks runner-up dropped to seventh place while Turkey remains in third place for the third week in a row. Poland rised the most on the list this week - by two places. Slovenia rised the most places last week but dropped the most ths week from ninth to 17th place. Three of the five songs selected since last Monday entered the charts on the plus side. Latvia entered at #32 and the only country that has a worse score is Belarus, the country that is still in last place.
Remember that if you have not done so, you can still vote in the polls to influence next week's charts.

We must reward original songs and to bring the spirit of each country! Away with the imitation! Otherwise this show will lose quality!

The Lithuanian massive voting campaign for their own entry is very very very silly! The Lithuanian song this year is not bad, it's just average and a little boring in my and in manys opinion.This poll can be easily manipulated and we should take these polls with a huge grain of salt.

For once, this is a poll which very accurately reflects my own views both at the top and bottom of the poll
If the votes go for a ballad, then I pick Iceland, closely followed by UK.
If it's up tempo this year, then I always think it is down to the stage production on the night. My tip would be Spain or Norway, whose stage performances I think will be world class and Finland who has always been a front runner for me but I can't see the actual staging of the song being powerful enough to allow it to win.
Any of these to win would be great but as the country who, for me has consistently churned out great songs since they joined the contest in 2004, I have to say I love Albania.
