The song
Miss kiss kiss bang is a swing song with dance music elements. The widely onomatopoetical lyrics are an invitation for the mentioned miss to dance and swing with the singer:
And I think we're like Mr and Mrs Right
So I'll give you my heart tonight
Miss Kiss Kiss Bang, come let us sing
Miss Kiss Kiss Bang, now let us swing
Shake your sweet, sweet, sweet little thing
Mrs Kiss, come on and let us sing
The duo
Alex Christensen is one of the most successful record producers in Germany. His first major hit came with the #1 hit Das Boot in 1991, which he released with the project U96. It was the first techno song topping the German single charts. Over the years, he worked as a producer for acts like N'Synch, Right Said Fred, Sarah Brightman and Marianne Rosenberg. In 2007, his song Du hast den schönsten Arsch der Welt he recorded with Y-Ass reached the top of the single charts. Most of his songs are either techno/dance tracks or romantic ballads.
US-American born Oscar Loya is a complete newcomer. He was discovered by a musical producer in New York, where he would starr in the West Side Story. Later, he made his way all to Munich, where he is currently working on his first album.
Alex Christensen and Oscar Loya will perform as a duo under the name Alex Swings, Oscar Sings! in Moscow. The single has been released and just waiting to reach the single charts. They are the second male duo to represent Germany following Hoffmann & Hoffmann in 1983.
The national selection
For the first time since 1995, the Germany entry was selected internally. It has been highlighted various times that the internal selection is only seen as a temporary solution following bad results in recent years. The chosen song was officially presented during the Echo music awards.
Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest
Germany took part in the first edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in 1956 and has submitted and entry every year since, but was eliminated during the internal semi final in 1996. However, it remains the country with the most participations. The only victory to date came in 1982, but Germany also finished second four times and third five times. The last top ten placing to date was achieved in 2004.
Wir wünschen Alex Swings! Oscar Sings! viel Glück und eine gute Platzierung in Moskau!

Thanks for the kind words about Texas Lightning...
In Germany, their song was the second most single of 2006 and I absolutely agree with you that they were totally robbed - their performance was in fact flawless and the "country-gimmicks" weren't importunate like f. ex. Rednex are doing it IMO, but authentic and subtle - way too subtle for Eurovision, I suppose...
What's wrong with the Germans sending totally American music to the ESC??? I understand the Dans etc cause what else have they got!? Hasn't anybody told them that American stuff is not popular in the Europe lately??? Still super cute man, good rythm, and moves, so will stay alfoat. Just about!
I enjoy this song, but I want to hear it live-at the ECHO awards he was clearly miming. I am looking forward to the chorigrapthy as well, as that looked like they hadn't thought it through
sorry, but this entry is full of garbage...
Roger Cicero hab ich super gefunden, aber das heuer ist echt schrecklich, sorry Germany. Schad.

Hadise's great performance!
I love it!
Her voice,stage,song is just AMAZING=)
Alex C's hit song Du hast den schönsten Arsch der Welt: CAN'+T SEE THAT VIDEO IN MY COUNTRY, WHY?????????????????
I agree with you Layla....more Country and diversity
I loved "Cookies and beans" from Sweden this year.
The only thing I don't want a lot of anymore is "old-dance-band-music" like "Sven Ingvars, Vikingarna, Ole Ivars a.s.o)..hehe! Even though I kind of love (especially at the after-sing-along-parties...hehehe):

(this music is probably only "loved" in Norway and Sweden)
LOL!
@ mina
thanks for your opinion and i retain my own
I found it refreshing that in 2006 Germany was kind of there as the opposite of a lot of over-the-top europop with cheesy lyrics and a 'sexy' dance routine, and cmon - greece does specialise in that
Finn,
sure, some people liked the song, and I didn't say it was a bad song..I said I found it boring.
And I find Serbia's song refreshing this year but if it doesn't do well, must I say that Serbia was robbed?
No..it's something different..it may do well and it may not.
And once more, I don't see what Greece has to do with anything.
and I must admit that the longer i knowyou, I find your reactions more and more very irritating.....
Well, Axel, excuse me for not liking Germany 2006 because that's what my 1st comment was about. I can't see what's irritating about that but anyway.
Michael,
I didn't say whether it was suitable or not, I said it didn't look good.
Country music in a european song contest is a risk. It could work..it didn't work...it doesn't mean Germany was robbed.
It's catchy and happy enough without being cheesy....swing is not exactly my kind of music but this one is not that bad
Besides, I believe that it's way better than the 2006 entry...a very mediocre country song, uttely boring and very weak...I think Oscar deserves something this year..
Good luck Deutschland!
The reason why Germany failed in 2006 was mainly due to the fact that the country style of music simply isn't widely popular in europe. The song could not have been more american/less european!!
And whilst Lordi had an equally obscure genre, they won because Hard Rock is popular all over the world, all over europe. Country music simply isn't popular enough to come close to winning the contest.
Plus imo as a song, "Hardrock Hallelujah" is a million times stronger, but thats just my opinion
@ mina
for your information , that dress was perfectly suitable for a country song. and why shouldnt europe have gone for a country song, theres nothing wrong with trying something different, after all a hard rock song won that yr , that had never been tried before
Because you're always here, for me you represent Greece, ok.... and I must admit that the longer i knowyou, I find your reactions more and more very irritating.....

Besides, exactly how often is there a country song at the ESC? I think the genre has quite a wide fan base in Europe so not at all that stupid an idea to win Europe over..
Axel,
you keep doing it. It's not 'we guys', it's me Mina and I write on this site because I love eurovision..not to praise Greece.
I don't know why it's so difficult for you to differentiate between the person and the country.
Like I said before Mina X, whatever....... Thanks God you guys sent year after year the best songs, performed by the best artist, dressed in the best clothes, actually everything is better in Greece.....
the dress was lovely but like you say, for our Greek friends not revealing enough... they prefer stripacts.... to discuse the great voices they sent evey year
I resent that comment.
I'm not 'your Greek friends'...I'm Mina and I want to be treated as a person not as 'the Greek representative'. I'm speaking for myself and myself only.
And I said I didn't like the dress...I never said I wanted it to be 'more revealing'.
As for the voices, what does that have to do with anything?
I can't have an opinion just because Greece doesn't send Pavaroti to eurovision?
@Michael,
I agree Germany was Robbed that year big time..... it was an absolutely great song. And the dress was lovely but like you say, for our Greek friends not revealing enough... they prefer stripacts.... to discuse the great voices they sent evey year
Michael,
I don't see how a typical country song with cheesy love lyrics can be considered brilliant but it's your opinion and I respect it. However, how did Germany expect Europe to love a country song is beyond me..I like some country myself and yet I didn't like it.
As for the clothes..just because someone isn't half naked, it doesn't mean they're well-dressed, does it?
@ mina
because the song was utterly brilliant
and as for the dress , at least she wasnt dressed half naked like a slapper
Aw, Axel, thanks, the feeling is mutual
I actually think Bosnia does have a chance for that. And Jade will charm the audience with her voice, just wait and see
Great song!!. The best entry after Roger Cicero.
This year Eurovision is for the big four
Why was Germany robbed in 2006? I had found that song incredibly boring and the pink dress very tasteless.
Poppy I really do like you.... let's hope for B&H to be at least top 5.....
Germany is one of my top countries is Eurovision - 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008 and now this cracking song for 2009 are great songs and I just hope they finally get the great result they deserve - go on Germany!
