Alex Swings Oscar Sings confirmed!

Netherlands: Eurovision in Concert 2009

The 23rd country to confirm its participation at the Dutch Eurovision Promo Concert is Germany. The duo Alex Swings! Oscar Sings! will head to Amsterdam on April 18 as well, along with 22 other participants. They will perform their Eurovision entry Miss Kiss Kiss Bang at the Dutch promo event, which means 3 out of the 4 so called Big Four countries will perform in Amsterdam.

The German duo Alex Swings! Oscar Sings! will represent Germany in Moscow with the song Miss Kiss Kiss Bang and hope to do better than last year's representatives No Angels who ended up last. The duo is formed by Oscar Loya and Alex Christensen. Oscar Loya is an American singer and about to release his first solo album. Alex Christensen is an experienced producer who had some hits in Europe already with his 2 projects U96 and Alex C. feat. Yass. Under the name Alex Swings Oscar Sings they will defend the colours of the German flag in Moscow.

The eurovision representatives of the following countries will participate in the Dutch event which takes place in the Amsterdam Marcanti on April 18: Slovenia, Albania, Montenegro, Spain, Malta, Slovakia, Ukraine, Belgium, Iceland, Germany, Moldova, Poland, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, Romania, Ireland, Denmark, Belarus, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Serbia and United Kingdom.

Preliminary to the concert in Amsterdam, there will be a day programme in Dutch residence city The Hague. All international delegations will be welcomed by the city's depute mr. Frits Huffnagel. Right after, the Dutch representatives in Moscow, De Toppers, will host the delegations during an open bustour through The Hague. The programme will be concluded by a visit to Madurodam, a miniature city which reflects all the interesting sites of the Netherlands. The city of The Hague already started preparations and safety measures for the event because of the expected public interest.

Tickets sales

Tickets can be purchased via the special website www.eurovisioninconcert.com. Tickets for the concert will be priced at EURO 20,00 in presale, and EURO 25,00  at the doors of Amsterdam Marcanti. Press accreditation can be requested on the website as well.

This year will be one of the best editions of the contest. I have now seen and heard all entries and there are only two of them which I do not like ! I can hardly predict a winner !

If only I wasn't poor, on the other side of the world and busy, I'd be at this event in a flash... come to think of it, that's the same reason I'm not going to the "real" ESC... c'est la vie...

I am really shocked, this event is like a real ESC. Despite my favourites Norway and France will not be in Amsterdam, I am looking for a flight and an hotel to join the party, because other representatives that will be in this show are among my favourites: Iceland, Germany, Azerbaijan, Denmark, Lithuania, UK...

Anna Maria, why am I not surprised about that top 10.... So we can be sure that at least 1 of that top 3 does not make it to the final. Remember last year.....

If you want quality, please, vote for Sasha Son "Love". It is, probably, the only song with a social message this yeas. All the versions "Pasiklydęs žmogus/Love/Odinokyj geroj" recall to value feelings, especially, the one which gives us chance to forget about everything that's not good around us. Nowadays, when whole the World is suffering serious problems, love and hope are the feelings we should value more than money or other material things.
This is not only my personal oppinion. I've read much about that song and the author aswell and hope that it will be understood. Good luck to every entry!

I really hope that the jury won't vote for tipical songs, like Soraya's... they are there to vote for quality... norway, bosnia, france, iceland, even turkey and greece if we include dance songs.... But the Spanish entry this year is such a copy of a thousand songs we're already head at the ESC it s..ks really. Germany has a very American entry but still it is honest and has a soul. Let's not go back to the copy-win era please.
