21st jury declares

OGAE Austria: 12 points to Norway

The next set of points comes from OGAE Austria. The members of this non-participating country have given 12 points to Norway, 10 to France and 8 to Sweden, reinforcing their positions. Armenia receives its first 4 points, leaving the statud of 'nil-pointer' country.

These are the results of the OGAE Austria vote:

  • 8 Sweden
  • 7 Bosnia & Herzegovina

THANK YOU, OGAE Austria :) members,
for voting and giving 1 point to Greece’s SONG!
Congrats to Norway, too!

b]ESC 2009 Moscow
The following clips are the RECORDED versions of 42 GREAT SONGS:
Semifinal 1 - http://www.youtube.c(...)/watch?v=7lgGkLGnTFg
Semifinal 2 - [url= http://www.youtube.c(...)/watch?v=tAf6mBkf12k
5 Automatic Finalists - http://www.youtube.c(...)/watch?v=3DDXfCkoQUo

Specific comment: Out of these 42 SONGS, I still do think
Azerbaijan’s (L) “Always”, a catchy ethnic dance LOVE song,
is the song that …everyone ;) will need to beat!
(I will stick to this prediction because it is MY most favourite song, at first listen!)

General comment: In the ESC Show, just as ESSENTIAL as the SONG itself,
is its presentation, the overall LIVE! performance which can either make :) it
OR break :( it … and we’ve seen the latter happen before.

That is also when 100,000,000+ regular viewers will tune in ... ;)

* * * * * * * * *

Special wishes to Greece’s strong UPLIFTING ;) song,
(L) “This Is Our Night” with (L) S A K I S!

Dankeschøn an Österreich!
What strikes me, is how few points Turkey still has. I guess this will be totally different on the 16th!

Und schon wieder keinen Punkt für Deutschland aus Österreich!?!

i like Love, cought me at first time(which is the first step of success imo)even he sung in Lithuanian.

well i usually like Lithuanian entries but somehow they r like the Swiss entries.nice songs but never make it to finals.

but this year Lithuania has a chance imo esp beacuse i have no doubt about his live performance.

hope itll be something good.fingers crossed!

I think Finland won in 2006 because the kids went absolutly crazy over that entry! :)

And I also think Sweeden failed last year because when it came to those important days in Belgrade, all we heard about Charlotte was that silly dress - mess - thing, a totally diva behaviour, and her and Ani Lorak being compared to one another in every way (not just their dresses...) because their acts was quite the same gender. The "catfight" became like a competition within the Competition. Unfortionatly for Charlotte, ANi Lorak was way, WAY better than her on stage live, she held a h*ll of a show, and Charlotte came through pretty cold on TV, like some robot - doll. There was not even one spontanius eyemove in Charlottes performance, really totally uncharming, and her makeup was a bleading disaster, she looked like Cruella DeVil with blond hair. And with that extreamly, typical Swedish schläger song, she needed a miracle not to fail in the final voting.

OK I'm going to be grasping straws here... but what the hell; I only live life once.

I'm gong to say that 1st place is going to be between France and Sweden this year.

If I'm right and win loads of money at the bookmakers; I'll treat you all to a few beers ;-)

*anything*

E.P

im curious whos number one in writing mistakes u or me haha

gareth
yes probably france do well at least it will be in top 5 i think with %50 50 system but who knows, we will see in may

Almila . [22245]
Mon 27 Apr 2009 00:31:24

but B&H,Azerbaijan maybe Greece could take someone else's place in that top6

E.P

thankfully i was in love with Believe hehe

but i cant see any chances for a similar victory for B&H or Ukraine

but if Finland won in 2006 despite the millions of negative reacitons in here really really enything can happen

Almila . [22245]
Mon 27 Apr 2009 00:28:05

Gareth i totally agree with ur top6 (L)

@ both EP and Surrounded

Does this mean that France is a very strong contender for the ESC 2009 Crown?

Ok based on that then I would hazard a guess that the TOP 6 placing at ESC 2009 Final (May 16th) will be between...

France
Norway
Spain
Sweden
Turkey
United Kingdom

gareth
i can say patricia is very popular in turkey she gave many concerts here and she will be here in june and many people r waiting for it i dont think an esc singer was so popular amongst turks before but sure older people r interested in her young ones dont know about patricia

Almila . [22245]
Mon 27 Apr 2009 00:17:52

after Gareths reactions ive decided to think again"whom will i bet for"

i had the same feeling at once i mean this is the winner feeling when ive heard Norway but it was stronger in 2007 n esp 2008.ive started to say"bet on Molitva"or bet on Believe"to my friends.but stupid me didnt bet n imagine how purple was my face after seein my guess were true for two years in a row

anyway of course theres a possibility for Norway or other favourites like og Ogae like France,Sweden to fail but the majority of avergae songs r increasing the songs chances ive mentioned above

Gareth Forrest [37501]

Isn't Patricia Kass also a big household name in Russia and other former Soviet states?

crab
exactly no but u can say russia 2008=norway 2009 lololol

Mon 27 Apr 2009 00:11:16

soo shall we say
2008 sweden = 2009 norway? "

Quite possibly; only time will tell.

Click here >>> http://www.esctoday.com/news/read/11783 and see for yourselves; the 2008 results show Sweden as the 2008 out-right favourite amongst ESC Fans & OGAE Juries; just like they do today but for Norway.

And like I said before - SWEDEN came 18th in the 2008 ESC Final. And they where lucky to have got that far, coz of the jury wildcard saving their asses.

E.P
last year juries prefered charlotte cause she was also a big name ,atleast she was more popular then other singers and if patricia wins it will prove she won with her name and fame i like patricia my dad is a fan of her so i heard some of her songs before but this song ... no comment really doesnt deserve to win for me , dima won by his name too but i cant compare patricia and dima in that case it can be an insult for her lol

Gareth Forrest [37501]

There are only 33 OGAE Jury members; which include Lebanon; Luxembourg; Austria; Italy; and a team under the name "Rest of the World".

However, all mentioned above have no voting rights in the ESC results. So those votes in the 2009 table shouldn't be taken into consideration imo.
