Start predicting!
The 2009 Big Poll
The BigPoll will allow you to predict the result of the two semi finals, and as soon as the second one is over on 14th May, you will be able to predict the result of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest Final.
This year, esctoday.com decided to delay the start of the BigPoll in order to give songs chosen towards the end of the national final season more time to sink into people's thinking and to allow for the final versions of the songs to be released.
The simple 'drag and drop' interface allows you to see the order of your predictions clearly on screen, in much the same way that you see countries move up the Eurovision Song Contest scoreboard during the voting.
Remember, we are asking you to predict the result, not vote for your favourite song (we will be doing that at a later date!). You are free to take into account political, neighbourly and diaspora voting, betting odds and preview shows. You can change and update your votes until the poll closes at 17:00 CET on Tuesday 12th May for the first semi final and 17:00 CET on Thursday 14th May for the second semi final. A special prize will be awarded to the most accurate predictions.

Come on people, good song or bad song, it doesnt matter and of course we Turkish people will always support Turkey..because they deserved, they're trying to represent our country..!! you should do that too for you're country..!!

I am confident that Norway will do the best this year.
I see that UK and Ukraine are striking significantly as time goes by, as we get closer to the contest week. So does Sasha Son of Lithuania.
Turkey started very well but getting a bit poorer by the time; yet still is a surprise candidate fore the title.
I like the way of Sakis so much however this year there are better songs than the one of him. I think he cannot win trophy this year.
France and Spain of Big Four are better than the ones of previous year, no doubt. Also UK as I mentioned above. So the poorest country of Big For is clearly Germany this year.
We should closely follow up Montenegro and Bosnia from Balcanic Countries. Yet the others like FYROM or Serbia are too weak this year.
Iceland is another high quality song of this year. I like lstening it so much.
Cypus is a sweat song but unfortunately not having a chance. She is a very prettiy singler.
Mamo of Russia is interesting but certainly not the one everyone would be crazy with it.
La Voix of Sweden is not a candidate for the trophy for me yet I respect this song very much since it is one of the most qualified of this year. But can't win!
Here is a list of awful songs according to me: Bulgaria, Belarus, FYROM, Czech Rep.. It is very hard to listen any of these songs completely, from the beginning.
When she says the words "la teva decisio" within the song of Andorra I like it so much. I am always happy when I listen Andorra.
In a nutshell I would be very happy for Alexander and Fairytale. I think he deserves this. Let's meet in Oslo in 2010.

I can't see something valuable in Bosnia& Hertzegovina's song it doesn't deserves such a high positions, as we all know wich song immitates! Plagiarizm in any form shouldn't be accepted in Eurovision song contest!

Let's not forget that WE have heard them here over and over, fought about them, then heard them over and over and over ... again; NOR is there any WAY to predict the final outcome...

I think that this year dark horse is MALTA, and this song will be in top 5, who knows maybe even a winner.(lot of points from jury, and also as i suspect many points from viewers). I'am also almost shure that NORWAY will not win- I predict a place between 2-8. France will be a favourite of juries but wont't get many points by public. Estonia might be high and personally I just LOVE this song
There are few I like but I think that they not deserve to be in top 10 because of high competition: Albania,Spain, Portugal,Greece,Germany, Poland

I agree. At first it was a bit funny, or at least I could ignore it and cope with it. But now I'm starting to get really annoyed and tired of it. (same thing over and over again for almost 3 months). *sigh*
