Turkey: Hadise number one in Belgium with Düm tek tek
The number one position is mainly based on high digital sales as it the a huge success on itunes. The itune sales however are included with a two weeks delay only so that the song fell out of the charts last week. It will re-enter the charts tomorrow, when they are officially published.
Hadise will represent Turkey in the first semi final of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest on 12th May, where she will perform at number nine. Last year, Turkey finished seventh in the final with Mor ve Ötesi and Deli.

Adonis. 'Turkey will always do well'... thats not really true... because they never used to, even when there was televoting loolz. Turks vote for Turkey now because famous people like Sertab, Athena and Kenan Dogulu are representing Turkey.
People please stop this arguing! What does it matter if turkish people love their own song or not.... I'm half turkish, and i love my country and i love the songs we enter with. But let's face it, turkey will always do good in eurovision, because of diaspora voting. Last year Deli was very good, but it wouldn't have gotten to 7th place if it wasn't for televoting. If it would have been 50/50 like this year, turkey wouldn't have scored so good. This year however turkey enters with a song that might please televoters aswell as the jurys. Not because it's the best song, but because it's typical eurovision. And yes it's ANOTHER ethno pop song, but so what? That's what makes the contest so beautiful: you have the typical eurovision songs like turkey, azerbaijan, and you have the surprise songs like Sweden, norway ...
So if you have an opinion, say it. But don't go calling each other names(or the contestants for that matter).
Just enjoy the contest to the fullest!
