Svetlana Loboda speaks to esctoday.com
Svetlana was joined by her five backing performers when she spoke about the rehearsals and her expectations regarding the Eurovision Song Contest. She will perform Ukraine at number 17 in the second semi final on 14th May with her own composition By me Valentine! (Anti-crisis girl). She has a tough act to follow as Ukraine finished second on the last two occasions. In 2008, Ani Lorak also won the second semi final with her song Shady lady. Ukraine has also never missed a Eurovision final since their first participation.

LOVE this entry and I think Ukraine are in with a real chance of the win. Safe maltese/norwegan type of entries have less "edge" to them.. wheras this one really sells itself.. Good luck Ukraine!!!

something new to me also i can't see why ukraine or any other country can't use hell machines, wind machines and any other kind of machines if they feel they need them. also it's not forbidden to use dancers i guess? 
eurovision would be very boring thing if everyone would focus just on voice and if there was no show. so love or leave.

Please don’t forget that Svetlana got maximum points from both jury and TV audience in the NF. Artistry is a very subjective thing that’s why the juries will evaluate impression as a whole (as well as the audience).
So if you expect a big difference between the two kinds of voting, you are mistaken, you’ll see.
ukraine is one of my favorite countries all these years but this is a real crap.she does a good show but the song is only trash.unfortunately she will be high due to ex-soviet votes and some hungry stupid voters.
I don´t think it´s too bad she´s using halfnaked guys on stage. I mean...half naked women (like REALLY short skirts...) have been quite the trend these past years....
I honestly don´t feel that the sexuality/ sensuality used in a performance is the problem. It´s HOW one chooses to present it. But then again...good taste/ bad taste. We all have our own opinion about it, dont we?
My first impression of this song was that I absolutly hated it, I loved "Wild Dancers" to a insane level (that made me blow my loudspeakers to he** with it 
) and I just couldn't belive that one of my favourite ESC countries had chosen something like this. I think Svetlana is so vugare that it's actually repulsive, and that takes a lot today. She's not just "playin' on sexuality" - she's extreamly slutty and vulgare on stage. (I'm NOT saying that she in person is like that!!) I don't think this stands a chance to win, because all women and a lot of men too finds her act too vulgare - at least in first impression. And that's what counts in ESC - first impressions, especially when the song is rather odd and ain't very likable to anyone until they've heard it several times.
But well, our Alexander loves it, and is running around in Moscow with a big smile on his face wearing an "ANTI CRISIS BOY" t - shirt Svetlana gave him in Stocholm. Actually, the expression sutes him better...
This is really disgusting! Her song is totally crap and she is trying to get attention with sexuality! Half naked guys and bla bla bla! This song sucks!
she will be top5, she's great and the televoting will vote her top3 but juries will drop her to 4-6th place maybe even lower : (
juries will probably help Norway and Malta a lot
i hope juries vote fairly, not just the favorites

Yes, I hope you are right, but the jury members are just normal people too who will just make their own personal top 10 list.. I would expect anything... Juries are rarely leveled with each other.
I really hate this entry. I hated Ukraine last year too. They have only been good twice - Ruslana and Tina Karol. I hope this time they will not end up high - it's such a horrible song and they rely too much on the dancing and hellmachine to win. It's also insane how she gambles her apartment for this show...
Ukraine top 5! That's a joke- and what's worse is that if it does happen, this contest will definitely start becoming one big joke!
What some of you guys are forgetting is that the Jury will account for 50% of the votes, and so I can't seriously believe that they will even rate Ukraine's song as decent!
This will go huge! I sort of agree it is cheap, but in a good way, it's hot and sleazy, like a big night in a dark club... love it so much XD
seriously, quit overusing the word "cheap" when commenting Sveta, it's starting to get really boring. I mean there're REALLY cheap song by other ppl this year, and I mean REALLY CHEAP (greec, the uk, holland) and at least Sveta has a concept of how the really entertaining show should look like

To be quite honest she does seem a bit crazy! But I like it!!! lol
When I first saw who had won for Ukraine and saw the winning performance on youtube I thought OH NO...
However... Svetlana has turned something which I hated into something I quite enjoy!!! I have even dowloaded the song on iTunes along with some others.
It is over the top but it all goes well with the song and Svetlana hand in hand, she is crazy and the whole thing is crazily entertaining. I prefer this to some of the other songs which try to do the whole dance routine thing and it doesn't quite work with them for me, GREECE!!!!

Yeah, Svetlana's great. A certain qualifier for the final, where Ukraine will, once again, end up towards the top of the leaderboard.

Doesn't even deserve to go through the semi finals, one of the worst entries this year.
That picture of Svetlana wasnt very flattering...hehe...with that "come-and-take-me-look" and those big lips of hers pointing in the air...
I still can't believe that our Alexander is such a fan of hers... He must be cursed (well, he is allready cursed, and maybe it was Svetlana he thought of when he wrote that line in "Fairytale"...hehe).

She cant sing, the song is poor musically and has no harmony.
Her show is, however, very good."
One may say the same about Madonna but she is one of the biggest international stars anyway.
