@ Adrian Collins - "How the hell can it be called block voting - Finland got nothing and Sweden got low marks."
Exactly... Same regarding Norway, nothing for us, and from Sweden only 4 points... Seems the Scandinavian countries are the only ones where juries eliminated neighbour voting...

1 point to Jade Ewen and 12 points to Iceland? What kind of jury was that? Disgusting!

It's pretty obviously that the Danish televoting was something like this:

12 - Norway
10 - Iceland
8 - Turkey
7/6 - Sweden / Azerbaijan
5 - United Kingdom

and that Germany got at least 2 points from the televote, to take them above Turkey's 8 in total.

Those who say that Azerbaijan or Turkey won the televote from DK haven't really understood how the combination of the two votes works.

this results means that televoting gave AZERBIJAN 12 points. 12(tv)+4(jury)=16 and combined is 16/2=8

How the hell can it be called block voting - Finland got nothing and Sweden got low marks.

Sounds to me like the Danes voted for the songs and not the countries.

Block voting again. We want televoting results as well, not only juri votes but also how the audience voted and we want to see how they got this points. Also, with the 50/50 combination 1 st place in juri should get 10 and the second place 9 the thrid 8 and so on. The same could should be with the televoting results. And then the winner of the combined voting can get 12 the second place 10 and so on. Mathematically it is not correct to distribute the points like 12 10 8 7 6 in juri and audience votings. We are not defining the places, we are just giving points in order to sum them and to see who gets most in combination.... In that case the interval should be equal between all the entries. And then only in the final rankings we can give 12 to the winner and 10 to the second place.

It's easy to understand how they count the votes. They add up the jury's points and the televote points. The country with the biggest sum will get 12 points from the voting country. The country with the second biggest sum will get 10 points and so on.

If two countries have the same sum, e.g. 3+6 and 4+5, the country which got the highest televote will get more points.

So in this situation it was clearly:

Jury: Iceland 12, Norway 10
Televote: Norway 12, Iceland 10

= Televote is favoured, therefore Norway gets the 12p.

i really dont understand how they count them
i want to see all votes as separate
will they publish ?
any idea about it ?

These votes mean that Turkey got the highest points from the SMS! If there was no jury voting system in this year, Turkey would be winner of 2009.

Morgan

No - the televote did not "way more than the juries"....

They both had a 50% say - the only time the televote was worth more was if two countries had the same combined total. Then the country with the televote got the higher mark.

That's all. So, to say "way more" is wide of the mark.

However, next year if we keep the 50/50 split - I'd like to see the Jury vote take precedence.
