Good work Spanish jury. Keep up the good work!
I hope that next year, Spain gets a better result. I couldn't believe my eyes when they finished at the bottom of the scoreboard. They deserved so much more than that and they did so well on stage that a top 5 result looked obvious. Hope to see Spain in top 5 next year with another amazing song and performance. Soraya rocked! I feel sorry for the poor girl. Hope she returns to represent Spain next year and achieve a higher position for her country.
Well done Spanish Jury
I do not know why people give the Spanish jury credibility. They are TVE lackeys, incompetent and shameless. They claim they know about music and gave ZERO points to Iceland's wonderful ballad. We all know them and believe me, they are useless and incompetent. Their opinions are not to be trusted.

Great
Thanks to Spanish jury for voting Hadise
In fact, most Turks are of Greek, Nestorian, Armenian etc origins. They hate to admit it!
Thanks Spanish televoters!

If EBU choose which countrey will host each year the contest ( like JESC )everything will change ( in beest way ), beacuse all that "war" happen beacuse all countreys want to host ESC
An AUDIENCE FAVOURITE AWARD could be given to the participant with higher televoting, which would not be necessarily the ESC winner
I like your idea!
The juries can choose the esc winner and the public could give an award through televoting.
If the 2 happen to be the same..well, that would be perfect
@anil : athena wasn't armenian.. but yes, garo mafian was armenian
@ Turquality
Turkey was represented by Turkey Armenians back in 2004 and they got the highest points of Turkey. Also, Garo Mafyan, another Turkey Armenian, was the conductor of 3 Turkish entries.
QUALITY SHOULD GO FIRST
Eurovision was created as a SONG contest, but it is now a stage of uncontrolled emotions and political passions.
There are ways to improve the quality of the results: The PROFESSIONAL JURIES in each country should qualify objective features (lyrics, harmony of the melody and arrangements, vocal interpretation etc.), according to a common scheme-sheet filled and signed by each of them, which should be accountable to make clear any possible misunderstanding.
The televoting, which is driven mainly by emotions, could count for general impression and performer's sympathy. The weight of the televoting should not exceed 1/3 (or so) in the general mark of each participant.
An AUDIENCE FAVOURITE AWARD could be given to the participant with higher televoting, which would not be necessarily the ESC winner.
This year won the most sympathetic performer, but neither the best song (BYSTRA VODA or other) nor the best artistic interpreter (PATRICIA KAAS or other). A real pity!
of course Dinle is the best turkish song so far
neither sertab' and hadise' songs
maybe some people cant agree with me but thats what i think
My personal estimtion for televoting is:
12 Romania
10 Norway
8 Armenia
7 Portugal
6 Greece
5 Ukraine
4 Moldova
3 UK
2 ??????
1 Turkey
So, if we make the maths we get the Spanish final votes:
12 Norway (10 Jury + 10 Televoting = 20 pts.)
10 UK (12 J + 3 TV= 15 pts.)
8 Portugal (7 J + 7 TV= 14 pts.)
7 Romania (0 J + 12 TV= 12 pts.)
6 Ukraine (4 J + 5 TV= 9 pts.)
5 Moldova (5 J + 4 TV= 9 pts. Tie. Televoting prevales)
4 Aremenia (0 J + 8 TV= 8 pts.)
3 France (8 J + 0 TV= 8 pts. Tie. Televoting prevales)
2 Turkey ( 6 J + 1 TV= 7 pts.)
1 Greece ( 0 J + 6 TV= 6 pts.)
Spain will leave...
ay I so miss those great songs from Turkey/greece of yesteryear, who cares about the shake your booty ones of today, at least those classics will be remembered for years to come and in Eurovision, THAT'S what counts I think...a great memory even today with the general public...
@Turquality, and as a result of Turkey's withdrawel in 1979, Ajda sang in 1980 in The Hague about the power of oil.
yes 12 points from Greece and 12 points from Turkey for Cyprus in 2010 is not bad
..he he he: kisses:
@lina : in 1970s or 80s a greek origin turkish woman(maria rita epik) was selected to represent turkey.. and she was officially turkey's representative.. but contest was held in israel and there was a very bad political situation in palestine in these years... so turkey had to withdrew in that year...if contest wasn't held in israel turkey would have a greek representative many years ago..
btw about our political dialogs, i feel the same..
let's hope a better esc for 2010
@turquality, Anna Vissy is Cypriot he he he
and i want to telling u something...sometimes when u speak for politcs and i say some bad things after i feel very sad beacuse is not my type to react like that
@Angelic Cyprus president or greek cypriots president for my turkish friends
support too much turkish cypriots , and also is against France and Germany decition who dont want Turkey in EU , in his latest UK trip he visit turkish cypriot community there, and dont forget that this year one turkish cypriot singer was in Cyprus national final
And that wasnt by accidental
For sure next year we will have suprice , maybe one turkish cypriot singer represent Cyprus or duet turkish and greek cypriots and i will be happy if one of that2 things happen
Now all countries need to reconsider their songs re:50/50 voting system...that's a reality...including Turkey/Greece etc, both Turkey/Greece have sent many great songs to Eurovision over the years but now it's time to think about less on the artist/choreography and more on the european appeal of the song/performance...Turkey 1997 was a great example IMO, Greek entries in the 70s/80s were fantastic so let's give them a 2000 twist (e.g Greece 2001), the same for other countries too..
@lina : lol..i will notice it.. you are greek cypriot and sakis represents greece..
but u were supporting sakis more than greeks
of course there is no any problem between greek and turkish publics.. sometimes we can talk about politics but nobody can be responsable by their country's decisions and history.. because we don't choose our nationality before born.. maybe sometimes i don't agree some greeks's opinions and answering them in there.. but it doesn't mean i am againist greeks or any nations... and i am not allways hating greek entries whatever they send.. for example i love anna vissi!
turkish and greek representatives would be very nice for cyprus..at least we could see cyprus in finals
@Lina loves norway
You would be surprised how many educated-ignorant people there are in the world
But it would be nice to see a duet between the two communities on the island.
The artists i mentioned do have good vocals by the way, but the "booty-shaking" does help
