France : Gérard Lenorman's comeback at L'Olympia

Gérard Lenorman, French representative 21 years ago in Dublin, will give two concerts in the most famous Parisian concert hall, L'Olympia, next June 6th and 7th.

Now aged 64, Lenorman is still a popular name for thirty-year-old (and more) people, who all remember his incredible list of hits along the 1970's, some of which even crossed the French borders  Michèle, La ballade des gens heureux, Gentil dauphin triste, Les matins d'hiver, De toi, Et moi je chante, etc. Not to mention Voici les clés, which was composed by Toto Cutugno, who also performed the Italian version Nel cuore nei seni.

Strangely, on the official website of the singer (www.gerardlenorman.com), Lenorman's biography does not mention his Eurovision experience. Certainly because the song didn't reach the expectations and didn't help Gérard Lenorman to make a successful comeback at the time.

Gérard Lenorman represented France at the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest and placed 10th out of 22, with the song Chanteur de charme.

By the way, his site does not only forget his Eurovision experience. For example, under "Discography" his CD "Heureux qui communique", including "Chanteur de charme", is not to be found. Strange website.
Being 64 years old, he still looks charming, anyway.

Gérard je t'aime!!!!
"Chanteur de charme" is a wonderful song. I remember France 2 showing a clip of it several times a day before his performance at the ESC. So strange it didn't reach the expected success. Gérard had some hits in Italy as well. Thinking about coming to Italy for a concert or two? :-)
