Schlager Party in London tonight
UK goes Schlager with Agnes at No. 1
Agnes is a former Idols winner in Sweden and reached the Melodifestivalen final earlier this year with Love love love. Her former hit single Release me, which charted across Scandinavia in 2008 has this week been released in the United Kingdom and has rocketed up the charts. It now looks set to be named the United Kingdom's biggest selling song of the week when the latest charts are announced on Sunday.
Alexander Rybak, who won the Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow earlier this month is still in the charts, and Starpilots, who reached the Melodifestivalen second chance round are still in the top 40 with higher.
All this makes tonight's Schlager Party even more of a celebration for fans of the Eurovision Song Contest and schlager. The night takes place at The Enclave from 21:00-03:00 and tickets can be bought via the official event website at www.schlagerparty.co.uk
Tickets are available in advance for £10 or £7 with a Schlager Party loyalty card, there will also be a limited number of tickets available on the door for £10.

lol @ ws. i know it isnt but the night club is g-a-y i didnt mean i saw it on a random gay website
@Garry Chelsea, "gay" is not foul language anymore on esctoday :-)
just saw on g-a-y website that kate ryan is appearing tonight
i LOOOVE 'release me'...
anyone got any idea about ticket prices for Oslo?
love love love was so much better than la voix
Jack, I am sure you are right, this site values hysteria over accuracy. Must be its "journalists" LOL!
@ Moreno Carlsson
Me too!
And people here like Malena Ernman - "La voix" too!
I'm
because this is the first entry from sweden ppl like here!
I imagine it's difficult to get into any top 10 these days (file sharing etc), and people generally don't care about top 10 songs anymore, like when I was 11 yrs old recording by tape recorder in 1977 Kate Bush : Wuthering Heights, when the expectation of the the top 20 was so important, now...nothing!
I miss those days somehow, was all so clear, now it's tophit this, and download top 10 that, with no clear result..."those were the bad old days " maybe but kind of comforting too...
Agnes is nr 7 in Belgium. Alexander Rybak on 1 and Hadise on 2. Here are all Eurovision songs in the Belgian charts: http://www.belgovisi(...)/index_f.php?id=5525
yeah xD
I'm suprised by it, cuz normaly not many songs make it even to the tipparade, so this is quit different this year
even Estonia, France, Portugal are in it !!
but I hope Flanders fall for Malena, like I do
Malena is in the Ultratip 30
Nice to hear!!!
congrats to agnes carlsson"!"!
Agnes is just amazing
In flanders she was number 10 in the Ultratop 50, now she is number 7 !!! Go Agnes you are simply great!
Malena is in the Ultratip 30
Portuguese jury results:
1 point to Norway
2 points to Bosnia & Herzegovina
3 points to Israel
4 points to Denmark
5 points to Germany
6 points to Turkey
7 points to Iceland
8 points to Armenia
10 points to Moldova
12 points to United Kingdom
SHAME!!!
Actually, she's set to be number 3, not number 1. It seems to be selling well on downloads, but I don't think it has a physical release, which is what's stopping her from over-taking Dizzie Rascal & Black Eyed Peas. Hope she reaches number 1 though, her song is much better. If she becomes big over her, maybe the Swedish public will think of voting her to Oslo if she takes part in MF next year.
i hope they brodcast melodifestivalen on bbc next year?
@ lewis - well thats wikipedia for you
but thats good they are releasing more of her songs
Hadise Fast Life Song
His Royal Highness: Agnes's next single will be "On and On". Her label said they will then release the album but have no other singles planned as yet.
i'm so happy for her - its just the sort of song that does well her, and the song is fab
i really hope she makes it to #1 (i heard they will release Love Love Love here too, and Higher by Star Pilots is also being released
