Noa for Israel 2009

'Spiderman's leading female role

Israel: Noa turns down a part in a Broadway show

Israeli news portal NRG.co.il reports today that Noa, half the duo which represented Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow last month, has recently turned down an offer to play a in a leading role in Broadway's musical production of 'Spiderman'.

According to today's report, just a few weeks ago Noa received an offer to play the leading female part in the upcoming prestigious new production of 'Spiderman', in Broadway, New York. After considering the proposition and consulting with her family and team, Noa decided to turn down the offer. It seems that the main reason for that was not wanting to move with her family to the US and spend the year there. According to the same report, this is not the first time that Noa, who grew up in the United States, turns down such an offer, and for similar reasons.

Together with Mira Awad, Noa represented Israel in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest and reached the 16th position in the final with "There must be another way". Watch their performance in the final bellow.

Well, Noa does have this issue with being abroad. You know, she must be the first ever eurovision contestant to qualify to the final, and still fly home immdiately after the semi..... (yes, it's true, she flew to israel twice during her two weeks of eurovision)

Noa in a Spiderman musical? Found out in Google that U2 is putting the music and Julie Taymor (The Lion King) is directing, so maybe it is not as awful as it sounds, but, an Spiderman musical? I think Noa may have made the right decision.
