Broadcaster confirms
Georgia returns to Eurovision in 2010
This year's Georgian entry, We don't wanna put in, was found ineligible to participate because of its political message. This was the last episode of a story that began one year ago, when Georgia decided to quit because of political reasons. Then, after winning the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, GPB decided to apply for the 2009 Eurovision, but the entry they submitted was rejected by the EBU.
Norway will then see the Georgian flag fly in May 2010.

u know i was supriced with the way that he attack me, and i didnt say something bad for Russia or Georgia, i just say my opinion about Georgia and any countrey who is going to send similar songs in the future like Georgia does this year, and this is my oppinion, and he say all that bad things to me just beacuse i say my opinion ( without to attack any person or any countrey ) . Just read my comments and also @Goran comments below and see.
thank u @Ki.var :*
come on people calm down and just be happy
!
I think Lina, although we have different opinions, is not stupid at all. She is very educated, and she is very patient... and she exposes her thoughts and points of view, as all we do.
no comments....
I hereby admit and recognize that I AM the person who is STUPID.
I am stupid because I continued to have pontless discussion with this person, even after I've previously wrtten: "... I don't know you, so I can't say for sure if you are deeply brainwashed or what, but I hereby give up on any discussion with you.".
After that, I still continued to answer to her provocations, only to learn that she is not only brainwashed (she took that word from me), but very malicious.
I take back the word "shallow".
She is not shallow at all. She is NOT STUPID, too.
She is just very, very malicious person who projects her own problems (for example fanatism) to other people.
Finally, not only she doesnt really speak English, but she doesnt't even know geography (or politics, for that matter). It doesn't stop her to behave like she is an expert in everything.
Me, the stupid person, will not reply to any more of her provocation, even if she continues to spread her hate all over.
I apologize to all other people who had to reed this missplaced discussion between me and her, which I choose (once again) not to take part in.
Thorazin Corazon speaks the truth! lol, I am agreeing with him.
I really hope they will send a serious song next year and something far better than their previous entries which were all horrendous!
"OMG...... I am really tempted to call certain person STUPID, but I will not do that, because I am well educated and well brought young person from central Europe, and we simply don't behave like that." But u already call me stupid and not only that u call me not educated and some other things , if u thing that one young brought educated from central europe ( Croatia is not is central europe anyway ) person attack somebody with different ideas from him like u done to me then i feel proud beacuse i m not one young educated and whell brought person like u
Personal i m not react fanatic like u against Russia or Georgia, i just say my oppinion, so u r reactions shows who have deeply brainwashed or what
I dont care who made first the problems in Georgia, i just dont want that style of lyrics from any countrey, but for u politics are mroe importand than music, u like Goergia song becuse is one way for u to punish Russia, u dont care about Georgia, u r mind are stick in one issue... " Russia's punisment ". thank u
I think last year they should have not withdrawn. If they just have called the song "We don't wanna...", I think all the croud (not russian... and some russian as well) would have shout PUTIN... That for sure!!!
and this measure would have been allowed, unless they silence the public.
**Sorry I posted a half-post by accident!
The song should not have been allowed to go to Moscow, the EBU would have banned it whichever country it was sent from.
It cannot be compared to previous examples such as "Push the button" because the 3G girls openly admitted the song was political, whereas Teapacks always denied their song was. What's more "Push the button" was alot more general and didnt specifically mention anybody's name, whereas "We don't wanna put-in" did and was obviously directed at Putin and it doesn't take half a brain to see that!
And at the end of the day the rules state, Politics should not be involved in the contest, so the EBU had every right to disqualify this song and it damn well deserved it. I know in the past there have been times when maybe they should have banned other songs, but that doesn't excuse them from banning this song, two wrongs don't make a right!
And besides, Georgia not being there was a far bigger protest than anything else they could have sent

I'm happy for Georgia, and We don't wanna put in should have been listened in Moscow, in my opinion. By the way, comparing the border conflict between Slovenia and Croatia with the Russian-Georgian war... has no sense at all.
OMG...... I am really tempted to call certain person STUPID, but I will not do that, because I am well educated and well brought young person from central Europe, and we simply don't behave like that.
Anyway, to answer your question, Lina (althought I dont't really see the point), if Slovenia chose song like that, I just would't react to that. Also, I wouldn't feel that the song was "against Croatian people".
Of course, situation between Slovenia and Croatia can not be compared to what happened to the country which was bruttaly attacked.
Slovenia and Croatia are both civilised countries who currently have some diplomatic dispute because of 25 km of border line (like many other countries in the world).
Both Slovenia and Croatia are happy to have civilised neighbour, who will not attack each other, and occupy and destory its territory with heavy guns.
Georgia is not that lucky.
It seems that some countries will be in and some others will be out next year's contest... I would like to know which are in and out in 2010 right now, why make such a mystery each year since the broadcasters know already the answer.
@Goran, if Slovenia send a song with title " my dog Stjepan " ( Stjepan Mesić is Croatia President ) , and in song lyrics says " my dog Stjepan are so bad and i want to slap it " and other bad things, do u thing after Slovenia and Croatia situacion in EU that song will be innocent? U r going to like it?

The news about Liechstenstein are posted in Oikotimes, EscTimes and it's referenced in the Wikipedia article (In English) about ESC 2010.
EscToday hasn't reported it because it's still not official.

For Eurotale:
"I am sure There must be another way wouldn't have gotten such a political fuss if it wasn't from Israel. Therefore I think people should judge songs made by invidual music artists and not include national prejudices if some of the musicians represent a complicated country."
Of course it was judged by the fact that it comes from Israel. The same thing was with "We don't want a put in". If it came from Iceland, nobody would ban it. But it came from Georgia, and everybody said it must be "political"
to "Lina Loves Cats"
I wanted to comment on your rather shallow statement that a song with a word "peace" could not be political.
But I changed my mind after I've seen your even more shallow statement that Georgian song was "against the Russian people".
I don't know you, so I can't say for sure if you are deeply brainwashed or what, but I hereby give up on any discussion with you.
@Mario Mir , personal i never saw any ESCtoday article about Liechtenstein's EBU aplication for 31 of july, i check also wikipedia and i didnt found anything about that
I appreciate more Georgia as an ESC participant, which in spite of being a poor country has will to participate, than some rich countries like Luxembourg, Austria, Italy, which show contempt for ESC.
I always love when an eastern country stays home, so I think they should be banned... although I loved 3G.
Mario
I don't think it would
I think there was an article here not long ago about it saying that they don't have the funds yet to take part.
@ Lina
I wana tell smth more, but since this isn't political contest, OK, I won't go further about presidents, Putin, Georgia and other things!!
About nicks, I think I finaly have found good one and won't change any more!!
lol
IT IS A SONG CONTEST
please bare that in mind people
Esctimes reports something about the application of 1FLTV (Liechtenstein broadcaster) for EBU membership on 31st July. Wikipedia also references it, but it will be true? And would it mean that Liechtenstein could debut in Oslo??
@Axel i agree, but since EBU have a rules that rules must be for all countreys and not only for a few, personal i dont see any sence for punishments in one song contest exept for big and serial reasons, the only punisment EBU must to do ( in not serial reasons ) is to ban that countrey only in runner contest keep the fees from that countrey who brake the rules and also that countrey to dont have the right to vote, not like Serbia - Montenegro's case in 2006 who brake the rules they stay out from ESC 2006 and then they vote. Personal i thing Lebanon punisment was too much. A nd personal i m very proud for my countrey, beacuse we have big political problem with Turkey but in 2004 we participate and we didnt make any problem to Turkey, also Turks was very good to Cypriot team and i like that , the only problem was that Turkey didnt show the map of Cyprus in voting time like they do for all countreys, but Cyprus know that from before and didnt made any trouble
If final Georgia participate in ESC 2008 and Russia dont show Georgia's map is going to be a big political war not only between Russia and Georgia but and also from a lot euro fans ( against Russia of course ! ), so i thing we have to be more open minded and our anti russian, anti greek, anti turk, anti georgia etc feelings must stay out and if one countrey made a mistake we have to say it, and not beacuse we love that countrey to support that mistakes even and if deeply we know that they made mistake.
