Belarus: Koldun to present new album
Koldun's brand new album, named after him, is the first independent full-scale musical work by the 2007 Belarussian representative. Preparations of the album have taken almost a year. All the songs are recorded in an absolutely live format with the participation of Dmitry Koldun's team of musicians.
Below you can watch the video of Nastroisya na menya, one of Koldun's new songs, recorded in St. Petersburg.
Dmitry Koldun represented Belarus at the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest, held in Helsinki (Finland), with the song Work your magic, ending up 6th in the Final.

The weather in Barcelona is extremely hot, more than usual. For this reason, I decide to flight to Gijon this weekend, in the North, and yesteday night in a very cool bar of the beach it was a big surprise when the DJ put "Work you magic". Unbelieveble but a nice surprise.
Belarus is just one of the 22 countries that have confirmed participation in Oslo (Wiki references).
Comparing with last year at this date, the number of confirmations is more or less the same, so it seems that financial crisis is not especially affecting plans for ESC.
don't know why... but i don't like him
the idea of the video is not new one and reminded me of one tired russian movie about radio "Piter FM"
but i liked parts in the video showing St. Petersburg ... love this city

Koldun was very good in 2007, even Marija Serifovic the winner that year said that her favourites were Belarus - Dmitry Koldun - "Work your magic" 
and Bulgaria - Elitsa Todorova & Stoyan Yankulov - "Voda/Water"!!! 
Some of the songs supplied are a bit boring, but others good. Also considering that his knowledge of English as far as I remember is non existant, he actually sings quite well in English. He must have a good English pronouciation coach.

Yesterday(21.08.2009) Dmitry has signed the contract and license agreements on release of the first musical disk with the largest Russian record-label "Union" (www.soyuz.ru).Dmitry has transferred the rights to 13 compositions for release of musical production on compact discs, realization in a network the Internet, manufacture of a mobile content, protection of its copyrights worldwide without restrictions.

The song is okay, but the video is very annoying... He managed to destroy a great song live, so let's hope he never has to perform this song live...
However, take note, if you use too much fake tan, your skin will turn grey like Koldun's
Dima is very talented singer, and simply good man. I am glad, that all the songs are recorded in absolutely live format. I count this exception and huge plus for an album. Also I hope, that it will be possible to get a disk, not only in Belorussian and Russia.
I would like, that the disk was at the international level.

I'm sorry, but sounds like that I would have expected in times of Cold War. What a weak song and a step backwards in terms of quality. (Russia and Belarus can do so much better!) If something like Azeri executive intervened, in this particular case I wouldn't have any objections. I didn't really like his ESC tune, but that was better by far. What a waste of energy and time!
