Turkey: Nilüfer's newest album "Hayal"
Turkey is in Eurovision Song Contest since 1975. Its second entry to the contest was with Nilüfer and Grup Nazar with the song "Sevince " in 1978. Turkey came 18th that year with 2 points.
Nilüfer was born in 1955 in Istanbul. She won the "Golden Plate Voice Contest - Altın Plak Ses Yarışması" in 1970, while she was a student in high school. She released her first single in 1972 and she was chosen the singer of year in 1973 in Turkey. She has relased 18 albums, 19 45rpm singles and 1 single so far.
She recently released her newest album "Hayal" (Imagination/Dream). And she has shot two video clips foir this album. "Bir bilseydim" and "Yaramaz" video clips are shown on Turkish TV channels.

Having watched that clip, listened to that song (Bir Bilseydin), I didn't enjoy it at all, its such a DEPRESSING song and she looks like as she is suffering in pain, oh well, it appeals turkish public I suppose, they like sadness, it shows through their turkish channels, dramatic films etc. I went to turkey holliday with my friends and almost all channels shows their dramatic love nothing but drama scenes, full of them.

I like her voice, but not all of her songs are good for me
I LOVE Nilufer !!! She is a great singer and made very beautiful cd's !! Her latest album is great too !! Turkey must send her next year to Niorway with a great ballad !!
She is regarded a big singer, because of her past. But I don't like her songs.
she is big singer in turkey. she has real good voice but she doesnt have hit song in turkey. i think her songs are boring
"Sevince" is in my opinion Turkey's worst entry. Surely such a great singer deserved something better.
