UK: Bucks Fizz and Brotherhood of Man in concert
The show will feature several hits that made the two groups popular within the United Kingdom and abroad in the seventies and eighties, such as If you can’t stand the heat, My camera never lies (Bucks Fizz), Angelo and Figaro (Brotherhood of Man), and of course their winning Eurovision entries, Making your mind up and Save your kisses for me.
Event organiser, Steve Jones, said: "These two bands dominated the pop world during the seventies and early eighties and sold over 40 million records". Mr. Jones went on saying that “They were regular performers on Top of the Pops and it is really exciting to have them performing for us in Kidderminster".
All the income generated by the concert will be donated to Sunfield special school in Clent, boosting the appeal for the new educational centre at the site. Referring to this, Steve Jones explained: "I have been organising events for Sunfield for some years now and, when I heard about the appeal for the new £3.5 million classroom facilities at the school I really wanted to help, because, as a charity, they do not receive any government funding for this sort of project".
The show will take place at Kidderminster Harriers Social Club in Stadium Close, Kidderminster, Worcestershire, and is scheduled to start at 20:00 BST (21:00 CET), with the supporting DJ. the entire original line-up of Brotherhood of Man will jump in to stage at 20:30 BST (21:30 CET), followed by Bucks Fizz.
Tickets can be purchased on the box office or in advance by calling Steve Jones on 07834 519520.

oh great! er in Kidderminster? how the great have fallen!!
city flyer get real...............with very few exceptions, most bands don't continue to fill big arenas like wembley and o2 some 35 years after their heyday!
good luck to brotherhood of man and bucks fizz , they have always supported esc in the years since they won. yes of course its been good for them too but not all former winners have been so gracious and enthusiastic years after the event.
Sorry, didn't mean to put bobby
Went to see Bjorn Again last year and Bucks Fizz supported them. It was Cheryl, Mike, Bobby and Shelley
Goodness me both Bucks Fizz and the Brotherhood of Man must still be so popular in the UK, so popular that they still get to perform in such famous places as Kiddiminster!!! where???
First it's always a commendable job to support common good. And some nostalgic impact might open wallets. But until today I can't comprehend, why so many people were so dead keen on such sickly gooey and tedious music. Particularly "Save your kisses for me" managed to sedate all my senses and made me feel somehow undead, sucking all life out of my body - a tune I'm really scared of.
Bucks Fizz weren't much better, but I was pretty stunned when hearing "My camera never lies" first time. What an original and sophisticated song - by pop music standards. It's a pity that artists who obviously were able to handle rather demanding things apparently weren't more ambitious in this regard.
"These two bands dominated the pop world..." - Goodness, what a doomed inferno.
are they still alive?
Richard M - Bobby G is the only original member in this line up, but this is by far the best of the 'Bucks Fizz's' around. This Bucks Fizz and Brotherhood of Man have been doing shows together for almost three years now, and the combined stage show is awesome. And let's not forget 'Save Your Kisses For Me' still holds the record for the greatest percentage of available votes ever in a Eurovision (80.4%) and came 5th in Congratulations in 2005, so for those of you watching this saturday, you will be witnessing true Eurovision history!
Wonder which Bucks fizz it is as there seems to be about 5 differnt groups nowadays.
