Ukraine: Ani Lorak enjoying success
Ani Lorak's latest songs are currently charting among the top 10 most popular songs in Russia. Solntse and A dashe are massive hits in Russia currently. The videoclip of A dalshe has been filmed in India and has an Indian touch. Both these songs are featured in Ani's latest album Solntse along with her 2008 Eurovision entry Shady Lady. The album has been produced by Greek composer Dimitris Kontopoulos, the man behind the 2009 Greek entry.
Ani Lorak is a very popular singer on home soil in Ukraine and neighbouring Russia, having gained fame, name and recognition overseas thanks to her 2008 Eurovision bid. The Ukrainian star represented Ukraine at the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Shady lady, thus achieving 2nd place.

I do not understand whats funny??!!! that the same guy that wrote Sakis' song wrote Ani Loraks' songs. Ok so? whats funny with that?

It is funny, because these songs are written by Dimitris Kontopoulos, the guy who wrote Sakis Rouvas' "This is Our Night".........In fact "Solntse" is originally sung in Greek by Irini Merkouri years ago.

I m sorry that she doesn t make english songs so that is why i m not her fan
I'm not really an ani fan tbh, and why everybody thinks she should have won ESC 08 is beyond me 
And 2009 was obviously Ukraine's best year, we all know it really!!

Don't waist time please, go and vote for Svetlana Loboda "Be my valentine/Anti crisis girl" for ESC song of decade!! 
In my opinion she would have been a more worthy winner then Dima. "Sointse" is very beautiful, "A dashe" is a bit trashy, but not in a good way.

Ani Lorak was excellent, and she definitely should have won.
Cant really believe people compared her to Charlotte that year, because they werent similar at all. Ani had a good contemporary song, and performed it really well, while Charlotte was stuck in Schlager-hell.
2008 was by far Ukraine´s best year.

I think your idel ESC is all countries participating with ballads!!
I much prefer Solntse to Shady lady, which I was never fond of. A Dalshe is dull in the extreme. I find the whole image very manufactured, it all comes across as very shallow and characterless.
I dislike her. She's so fake.
I really like BOTH songs!!! Congratulations !!!! Kontopoulos is really talented and he should compose a song like Solnce for eurovision!

"Solntse" (The Sun) is AMAZING song!! I ADORE it!!
Why she didn't participate with that song in ESC in Belgrade?? 
And official video of "Solntse" is FANTASTIC!!
