Voice actor
Greece: Sakis Rouvas in Planet 51
This is not the first time that Sakis Rouvas dubs for an animated movie. He has lent his voice for the Greek version of Disney's The Hunchback of Notre dame and Cars. Sakis' fans will be happy and looking forward to the release of Studio 51.
Sakis is one of the most acclaimed Greek artists enjoying both national and international recognition. He has represented Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest on two occasions: in 2004 and in 2009. In 2004 Sakis took Greece by storm when he came 3rd at the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul with Shake it. This year he came 7th at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow with This is our night. In 2006 he was one of the presenters at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest in Athens.

Yeah Sakis was awful this year, shouldn't have qualified really!
whatever the song would be, he wouldnt win anyway.... its very difficult to win the contest twice in such a short period (Greece won in 2005)....no country has ever won the contest twice with televoting.... it was a risk he chose to take and he lost!!! .....esc is lots of things: good song, good voice, politics, luck etc
he is gorgeous, but I would expect a much better song from him in 2009
@ lina
....and also language. patricia was singing in french , the singers you mentioned all sang in english which must be an advantage. i think france deserved top 3 this year. im glad we had 50-50 jury this year , otherwise france would have been much lower.
@Mario, i want also Despina Vandi to reprecent Greece but i dont thing that Despina will accept to be in the semifinals, maybe when one day Greece host ESC will accept, like Anna Vissi. But also the success in ESC has nothing to do with the singer back round. For example this year France send an international artist and got 8 place and Norway send a yeand boy who now start his carrier and took 1 place. Also Greece took good places with singers who is not number 1 singers in Greece like Kalomoira and Sarbel. Also Helena Paparizou wasnt No1 singer in Greece before to take 1 place in ESC.
Everything has to do with the song, singer personality, money and luck
@Angelic
Yeah, ur right!
@Kenan
I love most of her songs she is a real class act
Greece send Despina Vandi!
At least she's known here in Spain (while Sakis is not)...
I HATE dubbed films!
@Azad
All of her ( Shakira's ) songs are great imo, not just 'La Tortura'!
I think Sakis is an 'ok' singer but I don't think he's great; he's average. There's nothing about him that makes him stand out from the crowd. There is only one song that I like of his and thats 'Cairo'.
@Kenan....I love La Tortura also
His singing wasn't the biggest problem. The performance was simply over the top. Where in 2004 the song was catchy and the performance effective, last year it was too much. A good song doesn't need all that fuss. The Dutch performance in 2000 had the same problem, also Olivia Lewis made the same mistake. To be a winner the performance has to memorable and a simple gimmick is also effective. Helena Paparizou is a good example of how it has to be done.
I don't think rushing from one gimmick to the next and singing badly is a great performance. I thought he looked silly. I would much prefer a good voice without gimmicks.
@Angelic
I love Shakira's song 'La Tortura', too!
Hope this film will be released all over Europe!!
Good Luck Sakis
SAKIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He has lent his voice for the Greek version of Disney's The Hunchback of Notre dame.
That actually makes Sakis really awesome, it's only my favourite film ever !!
@Sunny Montenegro
Is there a rule, that just great singers must win Eurovision?
@ kenan,
If Sakis great, he would have won and he had two chances! So, Sakis is not great at all.
Sakis is great!
@ Lina,
It has nothing to do with Greece! I told you my opinion for Sakis and not Greece.
S'agapo Kypros
This year Sakis was great on stage...
Montenegro's entry was not good and Andrea proved it on the stage presentation...
@sunny Montenegro , can u be polite pls? Its u r right to dont like Sakis but u dont have the right to insult him ! Montenegro songs 2007 and 2008 make me laugh but i didnt say it beacuse i respect u r countrey and singers, also Montenegrian dancer this year make me laugh beacuse he dance like queen but i didnt say anything beacuse i respect, but u forces me to say it now ! Sakis was twice in top 10 and he has a success in ESC in his whole carrier and his life. Sakis i love you !! "Jumb" all u r haters!
While Sakis was jumping on the stage, all people were laughing as they did not expect such a childish behaviour that has not been seen in the Junior ESC yet!
Sakis sucks! Such a chilldish performance of him in Moscow! He should have been in Junior ESC!
interesting. i wonder if its an american film.
