Ukraine: Ani Lorak to host JESC
Ani Lorak represented Ukraine at the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade with Shady lady. She mesmerised and captivated the European audience into awarding her the runner up placing in the competition. Ani is currently enjoying massive success both in native Ukraine and neighbouring Russia.
Ani Lorak's latest songs are currently charting among the top 10 most popular songs in Russia. Solntse and A dashe are massive hits in Russia. The videoclip of A dalshe has been filmed in India and has an Indian touch. Both these songs are featured in Ani's latest album Solntse along with her 2008 Eurovision entry Shady Lady. The album has been produced by Greek composer Dimitris Kontopoulos, the man behind the 2009 Greek entry.
Ani Lorak will have the honour of hosting the 7th Junior Eurovision Song Contest and welcome children from all over Europe at the Palace of Sports in Kiev on the 21st of November. She will be accompanied on stage by Timur Miroshnichenko and Dmytro Borodin.

@Purple Cow
I know it would be too good to be true
@Angelic
There's always hope, but the chance that all will be awesome at the same time? Small...
@Purple Cow
I hope in 2010 many participating countries bring the best to Eurovision because the contest will be so much more interesting and not so monotone
@Marko
I don't even know him ..
That should be a good sign for a country I guess, but I also know that we got lots of possible shit to choose from. From the V to the olendam. Because the new broadcaster has a shit taste. Although I really like the 3js.
I am not that much into Serbian music.. but I usually love anything Balkan
@Angelic
I love both the songs you mentioned, I don't really like Alexandra Burke because she seems quite average as an X-factor winner. Well that partly has to do with the fact that she sang Hallelujah and our X-Factor winner a few months later thought hey let's sing Hallelujah! And I thought her version was quite plain
, and the Dutch winner quite good
The UK has an awesome music scene but somehow.. like some other countries in ESC, you don't see the real stars in Eurovision.
I think Cheryl Cole's new song "Fight for this love" is fantastic and her performance last week was amazing
as for Alexander Burke i use to like her in the beginning but now i think she is too big-headed, at least Leona Lewis seems more down to earth as a person and not to mention has a more distinct voice.
It is about time the UK sent a song similar to "Kyla ft Crazy Cousinz- Do you mind" a song like that would definetly win in my opinion
@Marko
Some UK Rappers are nothing to write home about in my opinion especially when you compare them to American Rappers
@ Purple cow
I would like Jay Delano to represent The Netherlands in ESC!
@Marko
I liked it but I think that's it, and yes.. I liked the Dutch version better than the English version.. it was kinda cliché.
@ Purple cow
No, no, no!! Edsilia Rombley is AMAZING, I voted in semifinals for her in 2007!!
But I love Dutch version of that song even more!!
@Marko
We're always average or below average
@ Purple cow
That's interesting! Glad to hear that, you can vote Netherlands is participating! I must say that for me this year Netherlands JESC entry is average!
Ooooh I love Serbia's JESC and ESC songs xD
Onaj Pravi is great, I even used it in a report for History that counts for my exams.
@Marko For life loves Tanja
OK, welcome back then!
@ Kenan
I must tell you that there weren't very interesting news to comment, now it is a bit better!
And I'am watching two reality shows at the moment, I really don't have enough time for everything, I'm also on BB forum! I have trainings etc etc, I will be more her when preselection will start, I promise!
I missed you too!
@ Marky
Rappers from UK are AMAZING, I wanna some of them to represent it feat. singer like A.Burke or Cheryl Cole!
@Marko For life loves Tanja
I haven't seen u for a long time, too!
Where have u been?
I missed u so much!
@ Kenan
I haven't seen you for a long time!
@ Marky
Tell me do you like Alexandra Burke, do you want her for UK in ESC, and was Alexandra Burke feat Flo Rida - "Bad boys" No 1 in UK charts? That is AMAZING song and official video!!
@Marko For life loves Tanja
Yeah ur right, they are really sweet!
@ Marky
Glad to hear that!!

It's a bit strange for me that you don't like Malta, I thought you will!
I think it will be between Sweden and Belgium for victory!
My favourites in Kyev JESC 2009 are:
1. Sweden - Mimmi Sanden - "Du", AMAZING song, very professional job for JESC, she sings very good like her older sisters, I hope Sweden will win!!
2. Malta - Francesca & Mikaela - "Double trouble", very funy and sweet, really good for JESC
3. Belgium - Laura Omloop - "Zo verliefd", OK song, I think it will win, and I will be suttisfied enough!
My country is participating in Kyev too, I think Ništa Lično - "Onaj pravi" are not that bad as some ppl say and i wish them good luck, they are sweet!

Romania is OK too!
I think she is very good for that! AMAZING!!
@Kenan
Well Belgium is slightly higher in my rankings than the Netherlands, but most of the teens and children I know here, support Laura. They think Ralf's good too but they're kinda fed up with the AVRO. Because you get to see the selections in an early stage and they always make some big mistakes there.
WoW that's great.
I wish there are more countries in competition....
Anyway good luck to little singers!
@Purple Cow
Ur supporting Belgium, although ur from the Netherlands?
@Purple Cow
Oh, sorry then!
