Three companies involved
Visual identity for Eurovision 2010 under way
Under this concept are included a wide range of elements, such as signs, the scoreboard displayed on tv screens during the live shows or the panels in the green room, to name a few.
Host broadcaster of Eurovision 2010, NRK, has revealed the names of the three companies that will be in charge of creating the graphics for the event, after winning a contest: the highly prestigious companies Gosu Design together with the architects from Snøhetta and the designers from Handverk.
No further information regarding how the visual elements of the Oslo theme will look like has been disclosed yet.

I really hope the logos will be something nice and pretty taken from either fairytales or mythology, like Russia's firebird. Russia had the BEST logo so far - so beautiful! It's going to be hard to beat that one and something tells me I will be disappointed.
i liked the best logo of Belgrade 2008 show .. and the theme "Confluence of sounds" ... logo was a synthesis of violine key, chirilic letter B - as for Belgrade, number 8 - for '08 edition, two colours - river Danube and river Sava, confluence of those two rivers and confluence of east and west ...
stage was simple, but big enough, with nice light effects ... I was there - live ...
good luck Norway with everithing !!!
I have a feeling next years theme will be very nice. "Snøhetta" is a well-known architecture-company in Norway, and I'm sure they will come up with something impressive.
I think the Athen scoreboard was a rip of of the Kiev one, just a little less green
P.S. I think Athens scoreboard was one of the best, and I would add to that Belgrade's "top 3 who is leading at the moment" ... that was SO cool, and am glad we have that now in competition...
I am excited about Oslo 2010, and I think they will do much better job than Russia. I must say I was bit disappointed with Russian host, I expected much more. But opening act was amazing and it leave such strong impression.
Still so far my favorite contest is 2005... not because of stage or Ukrainian hosting, but because of great songs. Best songs ever. And of course 2008 (my first live ESC - hope there will be more hehe)
I can't wait for new news about Oslo!
The score board really needs to change...it's been the same for years now.

You are totally wrong about the audience not being excited. The Fan Zone in front goes absolutely wankers before and during the live telecast, unlike in the dress rehearsals where we sit calmly and quietly enjoy the show and only cheer for our own entry.
I love attending the dress rehearsals because you get to see things you otherwise never get to see, and you get to see "the real thing" more than once.
this is one of the great things eurovision hasnt lost:
the excitement about the stage, looks etc....
I think ill never lose this feeling, while some other things (gooseflash) i missed in the last two eurovisions due to the (quiet) audience
A Turkey 03 performance in moscow with such an audience like 2009 would never have been as great as it was in 2003...
this is the reason why i think people should not be allowed to see the rehearsals, because theyre not that flashed by great performences in the final anymore becuase they saw everything in the rehearsals and therefor the audience in the "real" esc seems very wuite unlike previous years....
i think
I loved Moscow's logo and color combinations.. too bad I couldn't find a shirt with the bird on it..
I don't care that much for scoreboards actually
OMG Daniel !!
We must have it
Retro style
and have a pointy stick and everything, and a telephone like in 1957
Thats interesting
Why is this important??? i personally focus on the songs and performances.
Let's have one of those really old scoreboards from the early days, where there is obviously somebody behind frantically winding up the scores
we want a three-D presentation of the scores again, like in 1996!!!
Snøhetta, the firm behind the new opera house in Oslo. That's interesting! Now I really look forward to see the Norwegian visual profile for ESC 2010.
@ Marky
I agree with everything you say in this comment, don't need to add anything!!
I loved all the scoreboard and themes since i've been following seriously this contest... perhaps 2005 was the less elaborate one, even if the stage was good with many original elements.
But the scoreboard and theme were bland to me.
I really haven't liked the last few scorebaords, well from 2005 - 2008, 2009 was more clear, but a bit bland. I hope Norway can come up with something better. I also hope we get the full results seperately not just 1-7 displayed then 8,10,12 read out... I know we won't but it just ruins the excitment of the night more, for me at least. Good Luck Norway !
I expect a good show, just don't let Rybak have more than 3 mins worth of attention
